Reguarding Beast Metals Megatron / RID Cryotek

Postby FracturedKoi » Sun Mar 22, 2009 6:11 pm

Weapon: Light-Saber Sword
I ordered Cryotek off eBay not long ago because I've come to the realization that Dragon transformers just look bad ass in their dragon mode.

But my question about him is this...why does he appear to have a cockpit in his robot-mode chest? And who is that driving him? I know Cryotek was originally Megatron...but why would Megatron need a driver?

Enlighten me, someone?

The cockpit bubbles remain on both toys (and their redecos). The "USA Edition" (a limited Japanese release) of the toy includes the "spark figure".

Huh...fair enough explanation then! They had me thinking it was a piloted mech for a bit there. You think Hasbro would've re-molded the chest piece to remove that cockpit...I mean "spark figure".

Thanks for that info, Grimlock!

I find it surprising the Japanese "USA Edition" had that figurine, while the regular edition didn't. I mean, as far as I know BW Metals Dragon Megatron didn't have have one either... Anybody willing to check?
