Here's the question. Would it be better to upgrade a point of rank to get a new type of armor or would it be better to upgrade a point of strength to get an extra ton of armor?
I would guess the type of armor would have more of an effect but adding strength also increases damage dealt to the opponent. So what would be the best option?
(Edit: I vote rank)
Strength or Rank?

Depends on how much strength you have and what rank you are currently at. If you have low strenght below 6 than I would up your strength but if you have 6+ in strength and you have low rank than it couldn't hurt to up it one, but remember if your at rank 1 there is no rank 2 so you have to up it two levels
Edit: also if you have a decent amout of strength and rank you might want to consider endurance as that does work well with armour

Alright, let's take the character that sparked my question,Obliteration With the 5 strength and 3 rank, which one should be upgraded?

Looking at your guy, I would first consider pulling him back to a high level 1. I'm betting the only reason he's a lv 2 is b/c you have quite a few points in your tactics. Right now, I don't think he'll do too well as a two.
But to your question...
If you kept the rank and armour the same it is now, I would say up the str, and a ton of armour, then drop your mace and go bare knuckles. You'll find your guy will take more damage and give it more as well with 6 str.

Strength, the new armor is helpful, but 6 tons of armor is about as effective as 5 tons of a higher armor, and you'll do more damage.

I dont think you really need to mess about with rank and other secondary stats as much as you need a good amount of primary stats like str, spd, and crg, so I'd go with the extra stat of str.

ya I would go with some speed or courage but if you only want to up strength or rank, go with strength for now
