The Planet Iacon facebook page has shared an image that reveals a new upcoming Transformers line from Takara Tomy, K-On Crossovers! Transformers characters that transform into various musical instruments. The image reveals silhouettes of a guitar, bass guitar, drum set, and key board, along with four robots. The text mentions Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ratchet, and Ironhide, but doesn't specify who transformers into what. There will also be an associated anime called Hen-K. Image mirrored below.

They're transforming accessories for K-ON! called Hen-K!, but you probably knew that already. The print in the boxes showing the silhouettes is too small for me to read properly, and my ability to read Kanji is junk.

Is it text in that picture or with an accompanying (yet unseen) article which revels the names of Prime, Bumblebee, Ratchet and Ironhide?

Because in that picture, I cannot catch a single mention of Prime, Bumblebee, Ratchet or Ironhide.

Forgive me for being such a bad toy nerd, but what exactly is K-On? I'm rather inexperienced in the various Japanese toys/figurines/models/etc, other than the Takara Transformers line.

Okay, now that I woke up a bit more after reading this... the concept IS pretty cool. (even if I did drop K-On! with the first episode)

Oh, that explains why I recognised HftD Brimstone's legs in the drumset. Now that we know it's a fake, it's easy to recognise DotM Legion Bumblebee as the keyboard, RotF Legend Optimus as the guitar and Legion Topspin as the bass
