Who is Dart?

I apologize if someone has already posted this but I just read AHM #9 and now it's bugging me more than ever. Just who is Dart? A turned Decepticon? Does anybody has any clues?

Drift is to AHM what Ahsoka Tano is to the new Clone Wars cartoon: a painfully obvious and painfully annoying Mary Sue character whose mere existence detracts greatly from an otherwise fine product, and frankly does not deserve the recognition he gets.
