I would like to know what his official colors. What i mean by that is what are his most widely accepted and loved color schemes? I know he has had many changes made to him over the years, certain things colored different ways ya see so i need to know what his "canon" color scheme is. Thanks!

I guess light grey really, especially since that's the way he's depicted in the 'toon. He's actually originally a sort of matt silver, of course, but they couldn't show him that colour on screen because they were lazy :P. Plus most of his later incarnations (Pretender, Action Master etc) have all just gone for the grey.

And obviously there's the obligatory blue and red for accents and stuff.

Grey is cheaper than silver too!

The Red and Blue used as "highlights" on Starscream are not set in stone either, they are kinda just generic shades of the colours.
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

That is what i meant. I thought there might have been some set in stone rule as to what colors the highlights have to be and stuff. Thats the main thing that im concerned about as i want this project to look as accurate as possible. Thanks for the help.

Which colours are you going to go with? The G1 toy colours or the cartoon? Or DW-style?

Sorry, I thought you'd made your decision! Toy colours are probably what I'd go with. I suppose it would depend on the project, though.

Yeah... I always at least base my designs on the original toys, even if I don't stick to them 100%. But it depends a lot on whether you particularly want to reference the toys or the 'toon.
