Looks like they'll have him in the right colors this time. Takara/Tomy has apparently learned from their mistakes with MP Starscream

A Seeker just seemed obvious here.
I'm still expecting a black version, but they used the Prime mold to death with Magnus and the trailer version(I didn't get either, a white Prime alone does not an Ultra Magnus make, and the trailer was just week! take a note from the THS guys, at a fraction of the size, they're whipping you), and Megatron is to new to repaint into Galvatron yet.
I'm hoping Hasbro will reissue StarScream in the proper colors. It's not often they do something right, but here's hoping. Skywarp, should be fine, I doubt they'd make him chrome or something like that. Then all we have to do is hope that we don't get burned on ThunderCracker again.
MP figures cost alot, but for 3 correct colored Seekers, I'd gladly put my current MP-03 back in the box and spend the money.
HOWEVER, I want Has/Tak to know this is not a support of repaints, new molds are much needed.

Yep ... as a lot of people predicted.

I am so excited about MP-06 being Skywarp. That is wonderful.. I love Skywarp, next to Starscream he is my all time favorite seeker.. i always thought Skywarp's power to Teleport was sweet, and not used as much as it should have been in the series..I kept thinking that during fights he was low on energon and couldn't use his special ability as much, and that if he got a really good dose of fuel he could pop in and out like the flash and kick autobot arse..I also believed, as a kid, that Megatron must have thought that Starscream's Null Ray was more important to give him higher rations of Energon.. and thus Skywarp's teleportation abilities were left untouched..most of the time..so for him it was probably like...hmmmm... use my weapons...or use my energon up on one good teleport..
Any ways I can't wait for him to be released, I just hope they get the darn color right on this one.. and include proper accessories..I feel a Megatron Pistol should replace the Archevil figure, just incase there are those who didn't pick up MP-01-MP04..or they are just Decepticon fans..that would make it convienent...
Has anyone read my bio, It explains why I am called Skywarp-2.. he he.. I like side stories..I just hope that after this release we can get a correct version of Starscream..
Does anyone know if the explaination for the multiple seekers in the G-1 cartoon were explained to be Starscream Clones.. that maybe he was able to clone himself multiple times.. and that may have been an extra power like the Null ray? That would be an excellent way to explain MP-03 as a viable version of Starscream..in terms of color.. If I recall correctly the multiple seekers in the backgground were exactly that color scheme.. grey and dull...

Makes sense. So, it's likely that an Autobot will be #8, then.

^^ Not really. So far it's a new mold on every odd numbers (Prime, Screamer, Megs) and Repaints for even (Magnus, Prime, Skywarp).
Following the pattern, A new mold will hopefully be MP-07, while another repaint sits at MP-08. Personally, I think a MP Sixshot would be awesome, but least likely to happen anytime soon. I'm voting for a Magnus Complete Version though.

I'm thinking a show-accurate Ironhide for #8 because they can easily repaint it into Ratchet, and people have been wanting an Ironhide that actually has a head for decades now. Grimlock would have more of a draw, but no real repaint appeal so it could go either way with him. Soundwave is another major contender, but I suspect they'll want to augment the Autobot ranks a bit more before tackling another Decepticon. Ironhide or Grimlock, those are the two most obvious choices, but Bumblebee and Jazz both stand a good chance as well.
As far as waiting years for new figures I doubt that will be the case. They probably have teams designing several new molds at once now that the success of the line has been validated. I mean, it was only about a year or so between Starscream and Megatron, if I recall, and they were clearly designed by two different artists.
With Skywarp, they probably just wanted to use the mold for something that might actually sell. From what I understand Starscream has been their lowest selling Masterpiece, and it's primarily due to the colors. They're probably going to do a few seekers to distance the variations and then release a show-accurate Starscream, kind of like they did with Optimus Prime, then Magnus, then Starscream, then Optimus Prime with Trailer.

Am I the only one who disliked the final design for MP Starcream? Those hip kibble bits are just unnecessary.

I am so excited about this release! This was the first G1 TF that I bought as a kid. I think I am going to cry. Thanks Tom/Tak!

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

MP-03 looks more like Skywarp's and Thundercracker's illegitimate love child.

I can't say this is much of a surprise. I think everyone was expecting a repaint and Skywarp is pretty popular. I'm surprised no one is complaining about it really. It appears that Skywarp will have many of the same issues people complained about with Starscream. If you look closesly at the feet in the picture, they look exactly he same as Starscream's. I don't think Takara can mess with Skywap's color scheme much to make it more realistic, Skywarp has a fairly realistic paint app already.
All this talk reminds me of the customs I have seen and that book you can find on ebay to repaint your Starscream into Thundercracker/Skywarp.

I agree, he looks like he has the Thundercracker paint scheme from Hearts of Steel. Unfortunately he never got used in the series to my knowledge.

Now the big question is will they go for cartoon colouring? I think not. I think they will stick to their guns and go with the more realistic colour scheme theme.
Makes me wonder if they will redesign wings etc for the various seekers. We could see a Thrust type remold.

My guess is that an anime accurate Starscream will be released before a Thundercracker, if he gets released at all. They pretty much sold us a Thundercracker without telling us with the first release. Those sneaky little bastards.

Oh great. Another repaint. Next will be yet another repaint of the MP 01 Prime into Motormaster or something.
I hope there are subtle differences in the figures, cause I'm tired of seeing repaint after repaint.

Hopefully Takara will never see this so they won't get the idea, if they haven't already, but I am not suprised we haven't seen a Black repaint of MP-01 as Nemesis Convoy. They seem to be in love with him these days.

My heart sunk when I saw the color scheme for MP Starscream. MP Skywarp is looking like an automatic purchase.
I don't commit to buying an entire collection unless at least half the collection appeals to me. I've got MP1 Prime and Megs is on his way. Skywarp may be the linchpin.
