Been missing out on some serious action? Just up Saturday night bored out of your mind? Want to try something new? If so, or for any other reason turn the channel or set the recorder for AS tonight at 1:30 to watch the premier of Code Geass: Lelouch of the rebellion, then come talk about it here.

NOTE: This thread is for further discussion of the first season of Code Geass airing on AS tonight so that way you can post about episodes and discuss with out getting spoiled on what’s happening in the second season, which I’ve started a thread about here

I'm going to treat this a lot like I did with Death Note; I'll watch mostly so I can hear the voices and hear better pronunciation of certain words (Geass being at the top here). Otherwise, I won't complain if I miss an episode, because I can just say "Seen it!" and move on.

I do like the cast list, though.

Yeah, I’ll be watching for the dub and to refresh myself a bit since I haven’t seen these episodes since they first aired.

Already watched it on their website.

To say, it sucks.

How so? Just curious as to why you feel that way.

With all the mecha and the classic "kid gonna save his nation from the evil empire", it started off all right, but then got into the overused "kid finds a hot chick in bondage that gives him freaky powers," and I just totally lost interest.

The Laws of anime clearly state only one cliche can be used at a time.

EDIT: As well, though it has to be minimal, I have to say, I was really annoyed how the animation made everyone look anorexic.

Well, I’m not exactly big on noodle people, but if C.C. was your only big problem you may want to stick around for episode two, it gets even better.

But I’d say if you decide after the second episode you still don’t like it, you could drop it. Still, the show gets more epic every episode. :)
