Hate? Heavens no. I would never think that. We're like the vanilla and chocolate in Neopolitan ice cream (let the others fight over who gets to be strawberry). Maybe if I didn't try to resolve the comics to the toon I would've liked them better.
By the way any thoughts on who tweets as CC and the blue shirt?

No idea, I don't use that service. But if he was on the failbook, I'd totally antagonize him with the Helix account.
By the way, sorry for the lateness - I'll have the new comic up tonight!

Yeah, I made the Helix account as a tie-in for the Helix story. I mean, if I was going to make fun of facebook culture in the comics, might as well do it for real, know what I mean?
Tonight, more Beard Force. You have my word, and my... well, beard. I haven't told anyone else yet, (no spoiler) but I've begun planning the expansion of the Beard Force...

Re: GI Joe Fans Unite-- 25th Anniversary Fig Talk and More!
I find it strange that even though I didn't read much of the GI Joe comics growing up, I seem to know all the major stories. I suppose it's due to geeking out on the internet and reading all the summaries I can prior to all these reprints. That and the Devil's Due run was based on the Marvel continuity, it would obviously seep through.

Same here. Yo Joe would have comic reference links to some of the characters that would give their comic history up to wherever they were in the DD run. I got jealous last night of the volumes you had and ordered 3-6. For some reason which I will investigate only 4-6 have shipped. I'll go for 7 when it's closer to vol. 8&9 coming out.

I've been working on tracking down the individual issues at conventions. I love going through dollar bins and leaving with a stack of comics. I'll get some of the trades for sure, especially the later ones with hard-to-find issues.

You know, when you are suppose to be watching your finances, going to BBTS and buying joes on sale isn't a smart thing, but it does feel good.

Just a bunch of single figs for future moding. HOH Beachhead, Rock-n-Roll, Flash, the three with the MASS crystals, and such.
In other cool news, if anyone wants to convert a RoC Steel Crusher into a newer version of the VENOM Jackhammer, This is for you. Even includes the way to change a Nitro Viper into Cliff Dagger.
Hasbro, give us more MASK, there is a market for it.

So quick round table question guys.
As I posted earlier, I've order a bunch of stuff for Red Shadow customs, Including a head for Baron Ironblood.
Can I get some quick thoughts on idea for what body to use for him? I'm thinking more something modern than trying to go for his original white bodysuit.

Well today I got volumes 3-6 of Classic GI Joe. I was kinda worried that 4-6 would come before vol. 3 but they all came at the same time. These are the first comics I'm really getting into in almost 20 years. By the way, I don't know when since I haven't gotten the shipping notice but I was able to snag a blue suit SDCC Cobra Commander. Besides Doc this is my first big collectible joe of the modern era.

I'm getting together a few things to send to the AFA for grading. I do have my eyes on a Gold PDD that is going for a reasonable price. I'm bummed that Kwinn and Venom got killed off but I don't remember what happened to Scarface. It would be nice to see a three pack that features those guys. At least Joe Club has one down.

Scar-Face was killed. I don't remember where, exactly, but this was confirmed in one of the letter columns at the back of an issue. If you want a Scar-Face figure, look no further than the 25th Anniversary comic pack with the scarfaced Cobra Officer and the Crimson Guard with removable helmet. Scar-Face has the scarring sculpted onto his face (I think, might just be thick paint), a removable helmet, hair underneath it, and an AK-47, just like the Cobra Officer figures used to have in the '80s! Fun fact, the comic included takes place after Scar-Face's death, but he still shows up in it.

I have that set but I never knew the comic took place after he died. It makes sense that he died because if you remember "Silent Interlude" on Destro's chess board the Scarface figure is off to the side. One thing I noticed is that some of the covers have been redone since the art doesn't match up. Also I could swear that panels have been removed; while re-reading "Silent Interlude" I felt there was something missing. I'm up to the part when Duke is introduced so I'm happy that he's around; enough of these green shirt hippies.
I was thinking. If Hama's new series is going to pick up where the old series left off he's going to have a lot of work to do in getting the atmosphere right. No internet-at least how it is today, no cell phones really etc. If he can pull it off the book will be good.

I'm not sure if anyone else has ever signed up on JoeCanuck, besides me and Numbers but the contest they are running is pretty cool.

You know it, baby. I have my idea, but I'm still trying to get a full scope of the rules before I get started. I mean, my idea's about a character/figure/thing that is going to be badass, but not necessarily made up of Joe parts.

Well I'd figure I'd give everyone a gander before I send these off for grading. On the left is SDCC 2008 exclusive Blue Suit Cobra Commander and on the right is 2007 SDCC exclusive Gold headed Pimp Daddy Destro.
