So....
Without any clue what the next 12 figures will looklike, and seeing that people on BBTS have already put a number of the single pre-orders into sold-out status, I have just placed my pre-orders for the two 6 figure wave packs.
Here's to hoping we've got some good figs in these waves.

I wonder how many of those single figures were sold on name value alone. I'd never buy anything especially a Joe without seeing it first.

I figure images will be out soon. Better to be in know in case they are good.

A little off topic but for those of you who have a Ross store in your area, I just purchased 2 PoC Cobra Fury (@ $7.99 each!!), All 3 RoC Wal-Mart exclusive 2-Packs (ex. Tunnel Rat v. Monkey Wrench), and a RoC Sand Serpent (Desert Camo Night Raven repaint- rumored cancelled). Not sure if this has been mentioned, but the RoC Pit playset is $29.99 @ Toys R Us. Happy Hunting.

Here are images from the Toy Fair GI Joe presentation.
Though I wonder why they stuck Indiana Jones information with GI Joe. It could've been more appropriate to place it with Star Wars as they share similar sculpts.

I don't have the space, funds, or interest for it, especially with that ReBoot boxed set and the special edition of Duke Nukem Forever comin' up.

Re: GI Joe Fans Unite-- 25th Anniversary Fig Talk and More!
I recently picked up the Marvel paperback of GI Joe & The Transformers. It was probably released to hype the Generation 2 crossover. I'm kinda disappointed by the quality because it's not a heavy stock cover or paper. The paper feels like old comic newsprint. It almost feels like a Marvel Annual from that era.
However, I'm still happy to have it in the collection because who knows when or if IDW will reprint these comics.

It was published in 1993. It's weird that they would collect it years later, which makes me think it's a Generation 2 tie in.

Sounds like it. After all, G2 DID have a G.I. Joe crossover, so this would have been timely.

From 1993 the paper quality makes sense since I remember a few trades of the era having regular comic paper. I remember a few Joe/TF crossovers as back up stories in the main comics.

There a few GI Joe/Transformers back ups? Any links to more info? This is the first time I've heard of it.

Well, there were 2 Marvel Transformers/G.I. Joe crossovers: the one in the trade which had Bumblebee get destroyed and something about Cobra Island and Serpentor, and the the TF G2 crossover in the early '90s with the g.i. joe featuring SNAKE-EYES comic. Megatron gets rebuilt as a tank, etc.

There was also one that featured Blades and one of the comic created Joe sub teams. Can't remember if it was the main title or tales of. Heck, it might of run in the TF book.

It looks like Step up and Justin Beiber: Never Say Never's director Jon Chu is directing GI Joe 2. While it does seem insane, keep in mind that Stomp the Yard's Sylvain White directed The Losers, which was a great action movie.
Perhaps they'll cast Justin Beiber as Serpentor.

If they do that I will hunt down the producers and casting director and exterminate them and any living member of their families. By the time I'm done it will be like they never existed… huh, wha? What were we talking about?
