Insecticomics!

Postby Newtilator » Thu May 15, 2008 1:39 pm

I did not invent this site, and have known of it for some time. Just thought I would share it with the uninitiated.
http://www.insecticons.com/
Thought the time was right as the animated toys are arriving! A truly cataclysmic event. You might need to read the enormous back catalogue
to understand it. Once again I did not invent it, that glory goes to Wayward, I just thought all should know of it's glory.
On an unrelated topic, who knew Frank welker is famous for doing animal voices, and does Nibbler in futurama? I just watched the awesome Benders big score and noticed for the first time!
Shutting up.....Now. I-)

Wayward is thoroughly evil. I bought Legends Scorponok (with the gawdawful Legends Bumblebee) mainly because of his appearences in Insecticomics. I can't look at him without saying "Boogly!"

Because it would have to be an animated one that burst through the page and said "Boogly!"

I read it all the time... Wayward is the reason I broke down and got myself a Vector Prime figure. Her comic used to be a lot funnier than it now is. These days it has too much of her own brand of fanwank, like the Jetfire/Starscream thing.

I think it's a problem common to any webcomic that starts out without a real aim and slowly develops plot. Look at Twisted Kaiju Theatre: used to be a load of one shot poop gags. Then Shin Goji gets it into his head to tell proper stories, and I now go back to it once every couple of months for the two gags sprinkled in the twenty or so new strips. That's an extreme example, I don't think Insecticomics has sacrificed humour for plot. Yet.

Just one question, Airwolf lover...
WHat the hell is that image? I must start a webcomic. If only I had time. I had a brillig idea for a starter episode. Or a stop motion...
Also, is it just cos' i am a sort of n00b but what the hell is an Atmospherium? WWe need more insecticons in drag dammit!

The image is from the review linked to in my sig. Consider it my first attempt at webcomic'ing.

According to thefreedictionary.com, an atmospherium is "An optical device designed to project images of atmospheric phenomena, such as clouds, on the inside of a dome." So I've got no idea. I trust it will become clear in time, although I think the introduction of Botcon '08 Screamer could have been done better. But what do I know?

Oh well, Wayward goes and tells us what atmospherium is today and makes me look gay. Ooh! I am a poet and I know it not..
Damn you! Know I feel an overcoming urge to buy legends scorponok! Get released on your own in the UK now, please!
Nice review btw.

Muchos gracias, amigo. Legends Scorpy is good, but he does sadly come packaged with an awful figure. Not as bad as Legends Starscream, but not very good. Shame, cos overall I've liked the Legends line. Bought a spare Blackout for repainting, and thinking of getting a third.
