Try using the "macro" setting on your camera. It's usually designated by a flower icon. All of your backgrounds are relatively focused, but your subjects are blurry blobs. Would make it hard for anyone to make out exactly what they are getting. The figres could have missing/damaged bits or be in perfect condition but you can't tell from the pictures.
