Who would win? I've been pondering this for weeks and realisistically I can't come up with an answer. I just watched a fan-made video that was awesome...untill the end in which Samus takes off Master Chief's gear and he's a girl... WTF? Not just a girl but an asian girl! Some fan's been tripping on too much acid! Heres the video if your interested:

Yeah cool video until the end. Everyone knows Master Cheif is a dude! Jeez...

Anyway who would win? Its a pretty good matchup really. Both have similar suits, and both fight aliens, but one fights Aliens for Microsoft, the other Fights Aliens for Nintendo. Who would win?

I hate to complain about an awesome fan-made video, but #1 bungy is an AMERICAN company therefore the mastercheif is clearly of engish or german decent, and #2, the Mastercheif IS a Male! In fact his name is John! John, was taken as a little boy and replaced with a flash clone and made a Sparten, and Sparten-117 a.k.a. John is the only Sparten left alive!

Anyway I have to say Samus is probably who would win. Simply because the Master Chief is really just a normal marine in a super suit, while Samus is can defy the laws of physics with her suit.

That is not John-117.

It is "Mistress Chief" from the X-box DOA game. Her number is Spartan-458.

However, Master Chief is not the last Spartan left alive. There are Spartans from the books that were just never explained what happened to them, but they are presumed still alive.

There is also one Spartan confirmed still alive between the events of Halo and Halo 2. She tested the Mjolnir Mk2 armor before it was sent to the chief.

For someone who knows the backstory of both characters, you surely know very little about the rest of the Halo story.

Also, Chief isn't just a normal marine, he was genetically enhanced, out of a crapton of Spartan 2's, only John and a handful of others survived the process.

Who would I say would win? Samus. Why? Because she was designed to be a Japanese super-warrior type character. Hell they could have it where she was pummeled near the edge of death, MC 5 seconds away from blowing her head clean off, & she'd throw out a DBZ style energy field that would wipe him off the face of whatever planet they're on, just from getting pissed & envoking her will power. Cause you know....willpower, if strong enough, can cause eruptions of power with no explaination.

Who would I want to win, though? Master Chief. Why? Because he's the cooler character. He's more developed. Samus, you know as little about her & her world when you're done as you did going in. Hell, I've been playing Metroid games for 20 years now, & the only thing I can get from her is she dosen't like pirates, she dosen't like metroids, & she was raised by bird people.

Regardless of whether or not it's John or some other Spartan I still think the end was retarded. How do you go from one of the greatest battle scenes that people have been wanting to see for the last 7 years to a corny lesbian dance off. That's moronic to the tenth degree. Gimme more chaos and thrashing. If I want an Asian and some white chick making out, there are far better places to get it.

Yeah I agree nintendo really hasn't explained Samus's charachter too well. I understand the Metroid universe, but Samus herself I don't know well.

I'd probably root on the Mastercheif as well, because, yeah he is a cooler character. As for his backstory, I have halo one, and halo 2 on the X-box, and I don't own a 360. Everything i know came from playing the games, didn't read the books. I learned a little bit from the wikipedia article but thats it.

And I also read bout the DOA spartan, but the video seemed to hint that it was the master cheif, and not Nicole. Why would anyone even care about Samus Aran vs. Nicole?

Halo and the Matrix ftw

Chief would kick that silly bitches ass. Mainly because he is more hardcore. He doesnt belong to some silly kidified games company and that alone makes him better. Oh and he doesnt turn into a stupid ball....jeez.

Real facts: Duel wielding, Rechargable armour, the ability to drive any vehicle known to man and beast, he is green (like the hulk GRRR!) and he has the most infamous line in gaming history: *just played through an epic 10 hour campaign in Halo 2 and it all ends with: "Sir. Finishing this fight". WHAAAAAATTTT?!?!!?

Halo has just about jack on Metroid. Hell, the first five minutes of Corruption have more innovation than every second of all three Halo games.

Also, REAL Facts: Halo didn't invent Dual Wielding, nor did it invent automatic health regeneration, vehicles, meh, green, meh, and the most infamous gaming line is still "All your Base Belong to Us."

So what has Metroid done besides this last one using the Wiichuck? I'm serious. I haven't owned a Nintendo console since the 64.

Halo is great for one reason. It's story. It took classic sci-fi components and spun them into a story that rejuvenated my love for Sci-fi. It has done what only Star Wars seemed to achieve through sci-fi, telling an epic story and telling it well.

Sure, you can boil it down to Humans fighting aliens who invade(or eventually invade) Earth. But, if you look at the other Sci-fi films that tried this same tactic.

Starship Troopers, Battlefield Earth, War of the Worlds, Mars Attacks, ID4, etc etc etc.

Half of those movies were terrible.

Halo also brings something back that has been lost to fiction for some time. The hero, who is an actual hero. He's not an anti-hero, or a hero with a troubled past. He does the right thing, not being coerced into doing so, he does the right thing, because it is the right thing to do.

You don't see that anymore, every piece of sci-fi has to have loads and loads of drama. People with troubled pasts, people having to make "hard decisions" even though thats been their job for who knows how long. I frackin' dislike frackin' shows like frackin' that.

The only thing that could have made Halo 3 better was the including of more Spartans and an epic theme to go with them.

First female hero in a video game, for starters. Also, it was one of the first free-roaming games. (Which, in turn, changed the Castlevania games considerably)

Correction, first female hero in a game that was thought to be a guy untill you got the better endings & the helmet came off.....or you just used the JUSTIN BAILEY code......(I can't believe I still remember that).......

....If nothing else, Mrs Pac-Man would have several years on Samus, even if she is just a yellow partial circle with a bow. It also wasn't the first free-roaming game, either. Zelda was, as least as far as Nintendo is concerned, by half a year in Japan (though they were released about the same time in the US).

Actually, she may have the same arm cannon throughout, but it is adaptable. Metroid Prime had 5 different weapons it could use, not counting missles & super missles....& if you got the upgrades for each weapon it made another option for you to use

so you'ld have:

regular shot
power shot
wave beam
ice beam
plasma beam
missles
super missles
emp blast(charged wave beam...IIRC)
Ice bomb (charged ice beam)
flame thrower(charged plasma beam)

not to mention morph ball weapons

bomb
power bomb

....so samus isn't exactly lacking in armaments.

But to be honest, comparing Halo & Metroid as games is like comparing apples to oranges. I mean, one is corridor exploration....lots of backtracking, digging in nooks & crannies finding upgrades & whatnot....& the other is a run-n-gun that is really mostly story-driven & has a pretty elaborate multiplayer game.

both are great games in their own way, i think.

i think master chief can be asian from an american company, they made mario italian and he is from a japaniese company.....

Samus mainly because master chief dies in 1 or 2 missile hits. Samus has 100 and more missiles. I hate when people are like OMG DUEL WIELDING UHUHUHUH!!!! DURR!! Seriously halo just sucks to me it has no substance just a flash game made to appeal to a bunch of pigheaded people who think the only good game have blood in them. Or you could be a little kid who has played no other game and thinks halo is soooo cool!!!!!! I am getting sick of the Microsoft bullshit. Halo is just like gears of war no thought just a spray and rush game. No challenge no puzzles no anything. I really despise the xbox it has no good games except for the lowest most thoughtless shooting games. Why do people think its so good I really dunno. But im guessing they are pressured into it some way or another. I know this might be harsh but I have to get it out of my system. I’m sick of people acting like these thoughtless shooting games are soo good.
