OK now we know that there was a Transformers The Movie Omnibus announced which features TF1 prequel, adaptation and the Reign of Starscream. Now has it actually been released yet? My comic store has it still as "not ready for order" and Amazon still hasn't got it in hand. So has it been cancelled?

No, it hasn't been released yet. It most likely will get solicited for October, to time with the ROTF DVD/Blu-Ray release.

What sort of contents will this omnibus contain? I can imagine it would have the movie 1 prequel and the Reign of Starscream, but what else?

It contains every Movie 1 related comic except for the UK ones, even those Target exclusive ones. And all covers.

Aww man, I was hoping it would have everything: movie prequel, Interlude, Planetfall, movie adaptation, The Reign of Starscream, Saga of the Allspark (sic), Alliance, Defiance, ROTF adaptation, ROTF Titan comics, and the ROTF movie adaptation.

That would be the ultimate movie omnibus.

Movie Prequel
Movie Prequel Special (Presumably.)
Move Adaptation
Reign of Starscream

Saga of the Allspark is a reprint, and the others are too new for the Omnibus format.

Considering their TPB's were only released a couple of weeks ago, and are still widely available, I wouldn't count on it for a couple of years.
