I took a BB fast action battler and colored in the black spots with a metallic sharpie. it looks better than it was to me but it still sucks.

Hell, no - we'd genuinely like to see how it looks. For all we know, it could look a lot better than you're giving it credit for, in which case a few positive comments can really boost your confidence (and that'll probably encourage you to try more ambitious repainting later...

). And even if it sucks as hard as you seem to think it does, odds are we can come up with simple ways to improve it if you want - and if you took the trouble to try using the Sharpie on it in the first place, you want to improve it from how it came, right?

Okay. You make me feel better about my work and stuff. I'll post pics ASAp. I don't have my camera cord at home. My dad took it to work, I should be able to get it back and get some pics posted around 5:00 or 6:00pm tomorrow. Thank you Ramrider.

**** dude, i've seen some pretty horrendous things (done a few myself actually) and what you describe doesn't sound anything like some of that crap.

Like you said, it's your first. You're not going to create a Masterpiece on your first go, no one would. I think everyone on these forums, even those who people regard as the best, are all on learning curves still. :grin:

That really does look so much better than the black. And although I see a few rough edges of black around the silver, I really like that - it could've run the risk of looking too pristine if it had all just been filled in solid silver, but as you've done him he looks like there's a little wear going on, and a bit of grime in the crevices, which there should be.

that's actually good - it looks like you drybrushed the silver instead of Sharpieing it. try to move on to real painting, you've got potential.

I've done that too... using sharpies on my TFM Concept BB, but I'll have to upgrade to paints to get the look I want.

Gonna combine ideas (paint the body and the machinery) to achieve my best effort.

Gotta'n idea though, that inspired me to register...

Would it not be possible to combine the split-chest of the FAB BB with the tri-fold chest of Concept BB to achieve a 40% increase in movie representation?
