I'm not really into these, but TFW2005 has a look at the new ones for this year and Death Star Darth Vader looks pretty cool:

Does anyone collect these? Are they good quality?

Most SWTF's are crap, but the Vader TIE fighter is the best of the dodgy bunch.
Death Star Vader looks brilliant, but if its not to the same scale as Unicron then ill be pissed.
And I promise not to shoot you. For now...

I kind of like them as I'm both a Transformers and Star Wars fan. However, as I've only opened Palpatine/Shuttle and Luke/X-wing, playability is severely lacking. They suffer some of the same problems the Titanium line does: loose joints, weapon holding, posability, durability.
Oh, I did open one Millenium Falcon. That one is not bad, in my opinion. Much more durable. Better playability. No problem with joints falling off.
With this line, however...they just aren't that fun to play with. There's a history between Megatron and Optimus. There's a story that can incorporate all the secondary and tertiary characters. Where do the Star Wars Transformers fit? They don't fit into the Star Wars universe. The best I can come up with is that a group of Transformers came to earth and rather than pattern their alt modes off of objects in the world around them, they were lazy and saw the two Star Wars trilogies on HBO and decided to pattern themselves after what they saw. This has potential, but doesn't fit with the existing relationships between Starscream and Megs, etc. They just aren't that fun, in my opinion.
I actually prefer some of them as smaller versions of the larger vehicles; kind of what made the MicroMichines fun.

Actually, it isn't all that hard to fit them in if you take Star Wars' AT-STs and AT-ATs into consideration. SWTF's are simply modified versions of that technology, designed to allow both the Empire and the Rebels to slug it out both in space and on the ground without requiring a transitional vehicle. The fact that most of them are in scale with the older Micro Machines Action Fleet vehicles makes this work even better--SWTF Gen. Grevious leading Action Fleet Droid troopers, Darth Vader leading AT-ATs and chicken walkers in the battle for Hoth, etc.

The Captain Cody/Juggernaut/Turbo Tank will probably go into my collection as he looks okay as a figure and could actually pass for a Transformer.
The Gunship and Saesee Tinn I'm not sure about. I've wanted a Gunship TF for a long time, and Saesee Tinn looks almost like a Star Wars Jetfire (with the helmet on), but I've been dissappointed in Maul and Fett, the only other two I've purchased.
I might be more willing to take a chance if they were $10 instead of $15.

I could see somebody turning Cody into Commander Gree
The Turbo Tank wasn't on Utapau
The Luke Snowspeeder looks crappt and too bad the Imperial Walker that becomes a Walker driver wasn't displayed
I had heard that the Hasbro Team forgot to bring the transformed in robot mode version and they didn't know how to transform the vehicle mode into robot mode

I colect them. Some day I'm going to kitbash them and give them real Transformer heads insted of them looking like movie characters.
Anyway how many Darth Vaders are they going to make? They allready got his offical tie fighter, him as Anikin as the episode 2/3 tie fighters, they're remolding the one from 2/3 into Vader, and there's one that turns into the Death Star.

That's a nice idea, the problem I have with it is that I own all the novels, have read a bunch of the comics, and there's just no room in my mind for them to fit in the current continuity.
Maybe I'm just some sort of Star Wars snob or something...
