New TMNT Toys

Amazons taken my payment for the technodrome reissue, looking forward to it even with the size reduction and I picked up the asuper7 party wagon -after not wanting to pay over the odds for the playmates reissue. Kinda backwards spending more on a van but probably the best thing I picked up in the sales this weekend.

Apparently the Technodrome eye refuses to stay on top and just barely balances up there. How's yours holding up?

Sadly still in the box untouched, I'm wanting some third party stickers to stick on it (I usually leave original stickers unapplied) before assembling it. That and making Gundams has taken up most of my spare time at the moment.
I'm wanting to see if it scales better with the best axn turtles - I only have the mirage ones when I finally get to set it up. Joytoys turtles will look over detailed with it, but could be fun.

I haven't had any issues with the eye. Then again, I don't touch it.
It's a nice reproduction but my main gripe is that the Foot Clan figures (Shredder, Bebop, and Rocksteady don't fit well in the seats.)
Also, I have noticed the difference in plastic quality (having owned an original Technodrome myself). Main hull is definitely a lower grade plastic and the gun platforms use a soft plastic where the single platform included with the original was harder.
I like that the Brain scrambler comes with a strap rather than having to rely on a rubber band not included in the original set. Also the inclusion of two gunner platfroms rather than just one like the original, when it was clear it could've had two.
I give Playmates credit for reproducing this toy. I give it a B- as it's a faithful adaptation, but I would have preferred a 1:1 scale release and was willing to pay the $100+ for it. That extra 1.5 inches makes a difference where the figures are concerned.
Now, we'll see what they do with the sewer playset...

remastered shredder looks a bit oof, they needed to improve the shoulder pads for a start and no cloth cape is a bit off.
That armored Rapheal is an easy pass for me, dunno what it is or where it comes from but the elbow joints color is also a big no.
rocksteadys leg paint apps look abit lazy/lack lustre for his camo.
On the bright side, sewer release and the module (which I'm wanting three of for no reason I can think of)

Apparently all of these vehicles and whatnot are entirely new molds. And unlike the Technodrome, the Sewer playset is the original size even though it's in a smaller box than the vintage.
Undecided if I'll grab any of the vehicles, but I'm really looking forward to all of those reissue figures!

Chrome Dome is a new reveal, but a welcome one. The other 80's-90s characters were already revealed.
Now, if only they could do a proper reproduction of the Turtle blimp.

£80 here
can't complain having preordered some modules and the sewer playset though.

Got my military set in yesterday from Walmart. They're so great! I'm a little surprised by how dinged up the cards are having been put in their own factory box. Not that I plan on keeping them on the cards.

godzilla turtles are a must for me.
The guy who gets sweaty over toys and rubs his knees a lot (or the toys knees, or any of the other toys parts) is doing unnoficial collection guides in volumes, hopefully a smidge more effort than some of the cut and paste of the motu book, I'll be buying them as they will have more content than the other unnoficial book out there (as nice as it is)
