Piece of G1 Megatron in Aliens

This you tube video shows the smart gun as used in the film Aliens. At about 2:24 they point out a piece of Megatron on the the head piece.

I had a look and it appears to be a piece of G1 Megatron's scope as seen here

Gotta wonder how many Transformers "cameoed" as parts of props in movies. Most of them would probably be near impossible to tell, but still...
