Apparently, I missed a lot of updates!! I subscribe to like 5 threads and I for no alerts, SMH..

ALMOST picked up WW Link and Zelda today, $24.96 at Walmart if anyone cares, but I figured I better hold off, Christmas and all..

I can't even describe how hellish my week was. Work was a freakin nightmare. All I can say is, if Monday goes off without a hitch, I deserve a medal.

Right?! I'm tellin ya, these fellas are slick. 4 out of 5 are straight repaints, but wear the molds better than the ones they're meant for

Speaking of, remember the white Dia coming out, Cosmo Type or whatever? I almost pre-ordered it a second time because its named differently and has new pics in different lighting on HLJ

Review time! The new triple changin faction leaders!

First: Prime. I gotta say, even though he's obviously e precursor for Octane this mold makes a fantastic Optimus. He invokes the G2 Laser Prime quite well, and its nuts because if you think about it. He has a third mode, and the trailer is incorporated into the figure instead of being a separate piece.



The truck is seamless. For a triple changer, that's pretty amazing.



Notice how I'm not talking about the plane mode? That's cause it's not great. It's not nearly as seamless as the tanker, and I feel its easily ignored.



Now Megatron. Another winner. And another one that I know is meant to be someone else (Blitzwing) but wears it like he owns it. That bot mode is Megatron through and through, and that head sculpt is terrific. One negative, his bicep is folded together treads but nothing tabs together and can be irritating.



Tank is solid and fun. Only complaint is that the turret can't look up, and it looks like it should be able to.



Plane mode is solid too. Reminds me of Gobots Leader 1 though



But, there's a prospect for this mold that I'm more excited for than Blitzwing. Notice that he has two peg holes on his shoulder giving him a perfect place to mount a cannon? Green with purple camo anyone? Please make a G2 Megatron out of this!



Final thoughts:
I'm quite impressed, but do I recommend them? not necessarily. I would love to see Takara's expertly painted take on them. The stickers are ok actually to look at, but peel pretty easily. If Reprolabels makes a set for these guys I might buy them. But even then, I can't tell you to wait on Takara either because these days it's not a guarantee they'll release the molds as OP and Megs, they've been known to arbitrarily skip figures.

As Octane and Blitz, I'd buy in a heartbeat. And oh man, Black Convoy? Delicious. Two please.

I do like how these molds look, but just these characters in these colors don't attract me. Megs needs to have the paint scheme of the CW leader! It was too delicious!

Optimus looks okay, but the transformation looks a bit frustrating, and I would prefer to get it with Octane than Prime.

Cool review. Short but sweet. I'm excited for both those guys. I'm banking on Repro doing the OG Laser Prime graphics as labels.
