I really, really, really love this, but i feel $100 X 6 is abit too much, i mean im sure its worth it, but some of us do have wives and budgets. Hopefully this will be around for awhile.

Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

I am very impressed by how this looks all put together though. well done to anyone who's got theirs, it is a thing of beauty.

I totally agree. A big, plastic, unpainted toy for 600 bucks! Your kidding aren't you. It probably cost like 20 bucks to make, if that. I understand the design process costs money but really, these third parties are really taking the piss.

Try again. If Hasbro can't release a shrunken deluxe (DoTM, Prime etc.) for less than 10, even though they're made from soft/cheap plastic and have minimal paint apps, there's no way they would produce (and sell) figures like these (which are painted) in voyager class (as that's the size they are) for too cheap.
Naturally it wouldn't cost $100 each, but the quality (QC issues aside, which they've addressed), wouldn't be there and but of course, they wouldn't be that inexpensive either, so I'll give you that.
Third party stuff is costly, but they also have to use the profits for producing more figures as demand increases and to finance future projects. Look at FP, they've done second runs of their City Commander armor in all its flavors and are doing a second run of Warbot Defender, and I'm sure the reason is so that they can finance something new they have in the works.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I am that which is, which was, and is yet to come.

They are painted, as much as needed anyway. Lets not loose sight of the fact that there are 6 decent figures here not 1 600 dollar robot.
How much do you suppose a Masterpiece version of Devastator would cost? I doubt it would be that much more impressive and at the typical 200 dollar a bot price point..... Count your blessings.

That's a good point. Unfortunately (for my wallet) I want a second set to keep in bot and/or vehicle mode just because of how awesome the individual figures ended up being. I had no idea that they would be so sweet in-hand that I'd contemplate getting a second set to keep in non-combined mode.

Re: TFC Toys Hercules Fully Combined In-Hand Images
I decided to give the Herc figures a chance and ordered Neckbreaker and Dr. Crank from BBTS. I figured the only way to really tell if I would like them or not was to at least see 1-2 of them in person.
I have to admit, these things are huge in person. Very impressive size wise. The boxes were almost as large as the SH Monsterarts Godzilla that was shipped with them.
That being said, I just wasn't onboard with the overall design of them and I didn't like the shade of green they went with. Nothing wrong with either figure, just asthetically not my style.
But hey, just like peas and cabbage, at least I tried some green things to see if I'd like them. Not for me but I can see why people love them.
And for those of you who say there's no paint, get one and see for yourself: there's plenty.

I too was luke warm on the green but for some reason the sum is greater than the parts and it seems right once combined. Not that you should spend 400 more just to test that opinion. Combined this thing is really good.

Chimungmung has them for $80/piece. I'm in America and I got them all for under $90 shipped. Now that they are all in stock, you can probably approach $85 shipped.

Tempting but I think I'm setting my store credit aside for Stepper and then apply the balance toward the green MT Giant set.

Now that is a glorious Decepticon!
I got Exgraver today, and my Mad Blender is slated to arrive tomorrow, so within 24 hours Hercules will be filling my shelves with majesty. It will be a day long remembered.

Re: TFC Toys Hercules Fully Combined In-Hand Images
I finally got the last of Hercules! I'm very impressed with him.
I tried fixing Heavylabor's original hips myself ... to no avail. But I won't install the news hips just yet. Although kinda wobly, the old ones seem to work just fine and I'm loath to damage the guy.
I also tried stringing Dr. Crank's crane with thread. It actually got kinda annotying, so I took the thread out again. Maybe I need proper string.
At any rate, Herc's awsome. Very glad I got him. I got RotF Supreme Devestator our of storage for some comparisons and find that Herc's just as tall (although not as wide or thick). Of course I'm happier with Herc than not-as-cool-as-Voltron RotF Devvy, but it's cool to see them side by side.
The Energon connectors work great, unlike the official Energon combiners, who fall apart at the seams (or at least mine seem to). He's rock solid! And he's very posable too. Far superior to the Crazy Devy Drestator I have as well, Her has no trouble standing up and look sfar more imposing.

Funny, after a few more weeks of thinking about the 3P Devastators and watching more Hercules reviews, I've decided to get the set after all. Figured there's no guarantee at this point that we'll see the green version of Giant and I figured I'd better order these now and not miss out. I'm also intrigued about what else could be in store for Hercules, both from TFC and from other 3P toy makers.

It's a fair chunk of change but Herc is totally worth it, even accepting the... erm, labor... involved in doing the crotch swap for Heavy Labor.DevastaTTor wrote:DevastaTTor wrote:GiveMeSkyfire wrote:I too was luke warm on the green but for some reason the sum is greater than the parts and it seems right once combined. Re: TFC Toys Hercules Fully Combined In-Hand Images
Suffered a slight disappointment with Herc today.
Finally decided to try mixing and matching with FP's take on Bruticus and found that ... although the connectors looks exactly like the Energon ones, they are not, in fact, copied exactly right. The arms and legs are all just a bit too snug to really work on Dr. Crank and Exgraver while Herc's arms are way too loose on Onslaught (curiously the legs worked decently).
Kinda too bad because they all looked decent on the Bruticus torso.
Kind of a downer. Not like I'd EVER keep them like that, but it would have been nice to integrate them like that. I guess they never caught this flaw because I couldn't imagine that they'd copy it just to look the same while be incompatable. Has anyone else go tit to work?
Well, it's only a slight disappointment. Like I said, I'd never leave him like that.
