The cr chamber bug was in from pretty much the beginning of the game. That's why I was able to amass about 15 million in energon and even after Glyph had fixed the bugs i'd reached a point where the extra cost of auto-cr didn't matter to me.
Then Tammuz went and dumped a heap of energon on me and now i'm down to only 50 million. Might have to restart Project B.A.R.T. soon ...

Of course it also shows what great money management skills 'Cons have. We donated under the provision people would use the energon wisely. 'Bots donated willy nilly and had everyone splurging on mini-cons. Who was it that ran out of mini-cons first? hmmmmm

I've gone for yes.
What, you want a reason? Basically, the arena as it is is absolutely crap, but it still serves a purpose in the fact of challenging people one-to-one. What we need to do is mod the arena to fit that very purpose (rather liuke the challenge pit).
Besides, I like challenging people, it gets tedious, especially at low levels, to randomly enter missions, so the odd challenge on a person is really nice.

So saying "if the arena goes replace it with The Pit" really isn't an option. The arena goes, or the arena stays. Those are the options, plain and simple at this point in time.

Re: The Arena - yay or nay?
I like the missions more. Why? Easy more opponents = more xp and more energon.
Let's do this!

Re: The Arena - yay or nay?
Keep it, but make it a 1-on-1 invitation only fight. Meaning you would have to actively choose your bot, then choose your opponent (player), send them an invitation for a specific battle with optional request for a specific character they the player does not have to honor.
Invitations would be valid for two hours, so you would have to communicate with your opponent in some manner, or just hope they are online in the two hours that you have put your guy in the arena. Also make it so you cannot pull characters out of the arena to invalidate the invitation.
The two hour time limit and inability to remove your own characters will prevent frivolous use of the arena, so arena battles will be more monumental fights than a simple 1-on-1. It also makes it so there are no bots waiting in a queue for someone their level to come along and should put more people into the missions.

Unfortunately this idea would be open to abuse. Dual account using players can configure both their teams in such a way that one team will merely feed the other to increase their xp levels...

You could do that now if you time it right.
