Scaled Beast Wars

Not to be confused with in scale to the show Beasties. I'm referring to in scale to their altmodes. For example:

The average silverback gorilla can stand anywhere from 4 to 6 feet tall

Vs.

Based on fossil specimens, scientists have determined that a Tyrannosaurus rex could be up to 40 feet long and 12 feet high.

Or

Red king crabs can grow very large with carapace (the shell covering their back) lengths up to 11 inches

Vs.

The giant oceanic manta ray can grow up to 9 m (30 ft) in maximum length

I'm not really proposing figures here. Since, let's face it. The Predacons would mostly be obscenely small. But at least a digibashed roster, with this scaling in mind.

It's quite funny really, as aside from Terrorsaur, Megatron might have accidentally stepped on his crew

It occurred to me the other day how much I want new figures of bat Optimus Primal and alligator Megatron. Not because of the recent ROTB reveals but because I was thinking about eHobby Convobat and how much I'd like more of that, but fleshy. I'd want both to be Voyagers with bot modes that both match Kingdom Primal's (even Megatron). I want them to use the size to improve on the original Basic figures (and be better than Titans Return Skullcruncher and Mindwipe). I'd really just want them to look as close to the originals as possible with modern engineering giving Primal articulated wings similar to Kingdom Airrazor and Megatron some beast articulation. They've also got some obvious repaints for Selects and other exclusives. Primal could also open the doors for a partial retool into Beast Machines Nightscream. Unfortunately we'll probably at best get Transmetal versions of Primal and Megs, I doubt they'll ever revisit the Basic designs again.

I don't see why they couldn't do both. Make a Core class Nyx figure that can double as Primal and do larger versions that scale better with regular figures. I realize "Bat Prime" and "Megalligator" weren't big in the original mini comic, but since they're supposed to be the same guys as the gorilla and t-rex I think upsizing them makes sense. Heck, maybe I'm not thinking big enough, maybe Megatron should be a Leader again to match the size of the other two.

I've always had a fondness for these two (my first BW figures, too). As I've mentioned in the respective thread. When Takara ever pull their finger out and finish the BW Masterpiece line. I think it would be fitting for these two to be the final figures. Not just saying that for the potential MP Iguanus redeco either

I would love a Nyx figure, as well as a Skold. Easy new head repaints!

I would also absolutely be down for Nyx and Skold.

Pretty sure that's just the red and purple Takara versions. That's how TFWiki splits them up. Red and purple = G1 guys, blue and green = Beast Wars guys.

Well there you go, I've always wondered about that. I wasn't sure if in Megaligator's case he was just colored to match T-rex Megs and Convobat was just red for the sake of being a red Convoy, but now I know.

G2 Defensor would be so easy as well ( it's in my signature) . Not sure why we only got 3 of the 4 G2 Scramble combiners back in CW in the first place

Groove put a wrench into a possible compromise of G2 toy accuracy with two Grooves vs. CW accuracy with Rook and Legends Groove.

I got my UW Defensor w/legends class Groove as the chest ( Yes 2 of the same character on one combiner). Legends is "Groove Jr" . But if Hasbro was worried they could have made up a G2 color scheme for Rook and called it a day.

I mean "toy accuracy" didn't hold them back with G2 Bruticus

I don't have anything on my Defensor's chest, but if I did I'd probably use Adventure Override. His colors don't clash that much, but I prefer the bare chest.

My CW Defensor also have his bare chest but he got his "nipples" covered with Reprolabels.
Insert a picture of an anime girl in a "bandage-kini".
Plus mine has deluxe Groove instead of Rook.

Speaking of "will never be made", G2 CW Defensor is a contender for this list. Takara could make a Select box with improved hands feet, and chestplate like they did for Volcanicus and Abominus.
