okay. Megatron is a bit rubbish looking, but I like that he's a bit Origins-y. Chop Shop looks fabulous though. Similarly Starscream isn't wowing me too much. Quite like the robot chest, but really, I'll probably see about getting this for Waspinator. C'mon Hasbro, churn out some more of these things!

(oh and a Voyager - or Deluxe if you must - Origins Megatron would be very welcome)

if hasbro made them mintor deluxe, voyager class figures i be glad to buy them i hate legion, scout, legends look like happy meal toys me

I know what you mean, but I'm thinking of getting these just to go with Metroplex.

Yeah, I'm going to have to get these. I want me that Waspinator, and that Chopshop. And I suppose the Megatron and Starscream would be cool too.

I like the little inside joke with Starscream and Waspinator. Is there a similar connection between Megatron and Chopshop? Don't know from IDW but that Megatron looks like that Cobra Megatron from the Titanium line.

Ah, so these are the Legends scaled figures that someone alluded to in the thread about chuckdawg's Optimus/Bumblebee reviews.

I was half-expecting Chopshop to transform into Megatron's fusion cannon, for some odd reason.

The crown jewel here is Waspinator, Starscream is the accessory. :lol:

With these releases, I'm more inclined to get the Legends Autobot Targetmasters.

Chop Shop doesn't seem to turn into a weapon so much as just strap onto Megatron's forearm, but Megatron looks Decent if not spectacular and Chop Shop sems to be pretty nice on his own merits, so I'll robably get them.

The other set, though? Starscream looks pretty standardly Starscreamish, but it seem to be a solid take on the standard design with a new aestetic. And I love the irony of pairing him with Waspinator... Waspy himself looks a little more dragonflyish in beast mode than I'd like, but otherwise seems pretty good. And it's Waspinator! Yay!

Honestly, it makes no sense to me as to why they chose Chopshop, of all characters, to pair with Megatron. Starscream and Waspinator, I understand, but Megatron and Chopshop...? :???:

Nonsensical as making him Megatron's duffel bag? weapon is, Chop Shop's by far the most remarkable thing about this, since it's his first ever toy originally sculpted for Transformers, rather than the licensed Beetras mold that'll never see reissue!

Alas, he comes with no weapons despite surely having the articulation to wield them now. Guess he'll have to steal some!

This really makes me want a new line of Insecticons. "Insecticons 2.0" featuring Shrapnel, Bombshell, Kickback, Chopshop, Barrage, Venom, and Ransack along with newcomers Waspinator, Tarantulas, and Inferno.

I would pay out the yin-yang just for the first three Insecticons, Waspinator, and Tarantulus. Maybe Inferno, but the rest of them didn't have make much of an impact in fiction, in my opinion.

I'm digging that Megatron in a pretty big way, but I still don't get it. Why would they make him the odd man out of the four? Everybody else has a reasonable resemblance to their RID bodies, but Megatron gets stuck looking like he did in Origins? I don't get it. And sure, he's just a quick repaint away from his normal Cybertronian appearance, but why not open with that? Look at all these questions Hasbro! I don't like to think this much!

On the other hand, maybe they can crank out enough repaints of both Megatron and Starscream to cover all of the deluxe insecticons with their new best buddy Waspinator thrown in, in which case I'll stop thinking and start jumping up and down for joy.
