Transformers did another 18.9 Thursday for a 3 1/2 day domestic gross of 84 million. This should but it on track to do 150 million by the end of Sunday. So 150 million in 7 days. Comparing that to Spiderman 3 which did 176 million in 7 days, i would say that the Transformer numbers are amazing. Its not a sequel as Spiderman 3 was so it did not have the built in sequel (I saw the 1st 2 so I guess I should see the 3rd) crowd like Spiderman did. Keep in mind that its done 36 million in the 1st week in foreign markets. We have not seen the 2nd week foreign numbers yet, and it has a ton of countries where the movie hasn't even debuted yet! I wonder what they are going to be willing to set the budget at for the sequel!!!

One other thing.....during exit polling, Transformers had 90% rate it excellent or very good. That is amazing for any movie. Very rarely do you see 90% in the top 2 categories combined. This is very telling. With #'s like that, the positive word of mouth "you have got to see this movie" buzz should really propel the movie towards 300 mil. domestic box office.

Well it will do better, it got a B+ from Yahoo Mommy reviews, which is actually a very good thing, they want to take their kids to see this movie...good!

Could care less about yahoo mommy's approval. Fathers will undoubtedly take the kids b/c they want to see it too + the word of mouth factor. (Go See It!!!)
