United Kingdom Transformers sightings
Re: United Kingdom Transformers sightings
Yeah, it'd be nice but as Transformers this year are constantly getting delayed, especially in the UK, they're probably going to be delayed. I mean, we still haven't had Scourge at Smyths and Grimlock has yet to even appear on the system. They seem to have taken the button down, likely because the dates are so in flux. It's unusual for Smyths to list them so soon anyway. So Kapow or ID are probably going to be the best options if you wish to secure stock (particularly if the Ark sells out as it has done in places in the States)

Smyths had condensed their transformers section near me, seemed like little to no room for cyber verse or rescue bots. They had a fairly good selection of everything else (strange no grimlock as entertainer has them) with even a netflix bee and the quintesson (still at £20) in stock.
I picked up cyber verse rack n ruin at £15
Then in asda they had jada nano film rides at £7 (g1, baynus, batman, fast n furious and back to the future). Bit expensive for a pack of three but hey.

I re-visited the Carlisle branch of Smyths today, the last time I went before Christmas they had a good amount of Earthrise stuff, but now it's just two Hoists and a Quintesson Judge. But on the plus side they had lots of Kingdom toys (all of wave 1, as well as Inferno and Dinobot) and Studio Series. For live action SS they had some shelf-warming Scavengers, Shockwaves and Skipjacks that were there last time I visited, and for 1986 they had everything except Scourge and Grimlock. I bought a Blurr, and nearly got Jazz as well, but ultimately decided not to.
For Netflix, there was a couple of Optimus Primes, one Sparkless Bot and one Deep Cover, plus a couple of Spoiler Boxes (Ultra Magnus I think). Finally on the very highest top shelf way out of reach to anyone except staff, there were two Jetfires and an Omega Supreme. That's the second time I've seen Omega at brick-and-mortar retail, and the second time I've passed on it. Having moved into a flat two months ago and with my rent and electric bill coming up, I really don't know if I can afford to have a Titan in my life.

I'm back at work and back to providing updates to you all. These were found in the system today so at the very least, we're getting them in. Unfortunately Grimlock still is not listed in the system and Slag is also conspicuously absent as well. Hopefully, they'll show up soon otherwise we'll all just have to hope online retailers have them in stock.

I found the voyager hotrod figure in Smyths behind other voyager sized figures (Leader class), I can see the stores confusion
Wreckgar is going to have to be good or G1 goofy to replace the classics.

Really looking forward to seeing Wreck Gar, I'm hoping they'll also do it so that it can easily be changed into a couple of different variations so we can have some other Junkions too.

I imagine we should be seeing them soon, with factory copies of Slag managing to get out, the rest of the wave will only be a matter of time. I just hope that we get to see proper promotional images of them first instead of the janky photos that someone's taken that's practically become the norm for first sightings of figures nowadays.

Sometimes I think that leaks like that are on purpose from HasTak themselves just to build hype

Some more new appearances in the system. Granted, two of the figures are re-releases but everything else should be interesting to people.

Has anyone used the new Hasbro Pulse UK store yet?
Was looking them over for a pre-order, but a little put off at the moment with the only delivery choice being Yodel (they're terrible in my area) and also a little put out by them not currently accepting Paypal for pre-order items.

Yeagh I got the Headmaster Brainstorm to complete my Titans Return four warriors. Not a fan of yodel (nor my hermes, nor DPD, nor TNT...). It arrived pretty quickly and was fine. It would be nice if they got more stock back in on some stuff though as some had sold out before I even knew they had them or before I had the money to order.

I had a trip to Newcastle today, had a look in their branch of Forbidden Planet, and the Transformers section in there is suprisingly really good, like among the best I've seen in any retailer. They had a lot of stuff I never thought I'd see at brick-and-mortar, like Earthrise Pounce and Wingspan, the Headmaster re-issues, MPM Ratchet, even Studio Series Devsatator was there!
For other toys, they had everything from the first two waves of Kingdom except Airazor (there was a gap on the shelf in between Huffer and Arcee that I'm guessing that's where Airazors once were), a few leftover Earthrise toys including Ironworks and Astrotrain, all of Studio Series 1986 except Scourge, and a good amount of regular Studio Series including Sentinel Prime, Skipjack, Overload, Topspin, Roadbuster, Dino and Beewun Starscream. Not wanting to leave empty handed, I bought the last Astrotrain on the shelf.

Re: United Kingdom Transformers sightings
Smyths listings are up for Gnaw and Wreckgar, currently at the old retail prices for SS figures. Whether they stay at that price is still to be seen. Though they might be doing what IDToys and Kapow are doing and trying to absorb the as much of the additional cost as they can. As with Grimlock, it seems they won't be getting Slag.

For those of you wanting to get the Beast Wars reissues, Smyths will be stocking them at retail from August 1st according to their website listings. There are no preorders available for them at the moment which is likely because the amount of stock they're getting hasn't been set yet.
