War for Cybertron Kingdom Discussion The Beasts Return!
Re: War for Cybertron Kingdom Discussion The Beasts Return!
It might be just me, but even since the first time i saw paleotrex, i always feels like his robot legs looks a bit too short compared to his overall body proportion.

And now I just keep hearing Headmaster screaming, "BONEAGE! TOTAL BONEAGE!"
Yes! Though I only remember it for the commercial, I don't remember ever actually seeing them in stores.
And yeah, definitely see the similarities now that you've brought it up.

Man, I would have freaked out having these Bone Age toys as a kid. Really cool.

Not sold on robot mode...and a skeleton as alt mode just seems creepy...
But oh man, that sword mode will look KILLER on Volcanicus. Could even be used as armor of some sort I bet...sorta like the Prime Beast Hunter armors.

As long as the figures have the right 5mm ports, then as long as you can imagine it, you can do it!

I think Beast rib cage = bot legs is a strange design choice. Makes the proportions of the legs look odd. I like the head sculpt though and the appropriation of Primal's mace design.
I was thinking the other day about such characters as Ironworks and how they represent the best utilised potential of this WFC line. If only Beast Wars had an equivalent for Kingdom to likewise refine

Meh... I mean, I had that spider thingie as a kid and I had a blast with it at that time. From a certain point of view, this whole Transformers thing is a gimmicky kids toy concept that they somehow sprinkled magic dust on and it all "worked". I think someone creative enough could at least do a brand new concept and homage these crazy items. Very creative, mind you.

Tut, tut, tut.
In the case of Orcanoch, they don't have to get that creative. As a Killer Whale adaptation already exists...

As I said, if they can make a decent figure out of Ironworks. They can for any of the "bases".

It is easy to forget, with all the evergreen repetition, that HasTak can be really creative... when they want to be.

Eh I prefer the Fossilizers to be fair, much cooler, plus it frees them to be titan class ideas in the future. Were going to need quite a few new ones soon enough.

I don't really mind if Titan Class began and ended with the four City Bots (plus redecos) and Omega Supreme (plus Spreem, maybe?), to be fair. Sure they've done something with the Ark in Kingdom, which is definitely a plus point. But given the roster of the Transformers, there simply aren't that many big bots. If they aren't going to do something similar with The Revenge or the Quints' corkscrew ship, better to draw the line to a close and concentrate the future big bot focus on Gestalts.

The only reason they'd stop the Titan's is if sales of them dropped. So we would always get one more (like presumably the 2022 titan will have started design) its like Commander class, that will continue for the time being, and we'll start seeing cons in that class soon.
I mean its not like we haven't already had an odd choice for the titan class anyway in Predaking.

I don't see the need to continue a line that has no more characters. It would be like making a line of Battlechargers, after Runabout and Runamuck, if the new figures sold well enough.
It is ok for some lines to simply end.
That said, if they want to reappropriate the line to sell Combiner Team boxsets, then it would be something else altogether.

Who knows, after all it is just a price point in reality and they could put whatever they wanted as long as they justified the plastic usage etc.

I had a dream last night that a leaker posted pictures of Kingdom Dinobot and Kingdom Airazor on the thread. I opened both of them in a new window to look at individually, and when I looked at Dinobot the image was extremely blurry and not a single detail could be made out, not really even general silhouette, either. But you could tell it was a bunch of tanish colors (I guess like the original toy Dinobot colors). The Airazor figure was a very weird design that looked kind of like Transmetal Airazor with non-TM colors. As usual with these things, half of us forum people hated it for being new and weird, half loved it (mostly non-BW fans). Suddenly I realized it was just a dream, which made me feel a lot better. Hahahaha.
Shows how bad I want some more Kingdom information to come out! LOL!!! Dang it!

As a weird aside, I really do have a feeling MP Airazor is going to be one of the best in the line.

Honestly I'd love for a small series of generics, especially the ones from Devastation. We have nearly all the molds for it (Battlechargers and Coneheads), with only the Heavy Units being absent (but even then, a Blitzwing is currently in preproduction for 2022).
Also, I believe that multiple leakers have confirmed that the Titan Class is on the chopping block post-WFC. Some of the reasons they cited were: lack of brick-and-mortar presence, large price gap between it and Leader Class, a small pool of characters to choose from, and lack of overall sales. Commander Class was created to eventually replace Titan Class and solve these issues. There's been some discussion of there being more Commanders per toyline, but I don't think there's any credible word on that.
My (semi)obscure wantlist:

Objectively, the last "Titan" left would be Tidal Wave. Of which, I doubt HasTak consider a UT character is financially viable enough for the price point.

The rumours I heard said that the titan class was more dependent on sales (which must have gone well for them to do a second run of Omega) plus which leaks have spoken about Blitzwing?
