I would imagine him to be more Scania than Peterbuilt, since the peterbuilt is optimus, the scania would allow for a newer fresher look, instead of that hey we just too optimus and repainted him again look.

Annnnd you've just missed the point of TFs. What have they got if not for repaints? Ultra Magnus will almost always be a Optimus repaint & I doubt any movie toy would be different.

Hey everybody; new guy here; seemed like a good place to start.

I have no real rationale except these are the characters I like. I wanna see Prowl, Hound, and Wheeljack. I will say that Ultra Magnus was always my favorite and others have said (I agree) that the Autobots need some muscle. I wanna see Brawn, I think it would look cool to have a little bot go toe-to-toe with a big hitter type decepticon (any new generic military bot will do; Onslaught?) and wipe the floor with him.

Also, Grimlock; everybody says it is hard because...why would he be a dinosaur? Maybe have him be a triple-changer or maybe no robot-mode at all. Have him be some sort of big vehicle (Terex AC-700?) and change between that and a dinobot (I could live with him being more feral).

Shockwave (no brainer); what if film-makers used the other decepticon jets but instead of adding like 5 more huge bots that one would wonder how the Autobots are supposed to handle; why can't Dirge+Ramjet+Thruster=One Jet and Thundercracker+Skywarp=One Jet.

I'm sure I could go on...

I can picture it now: Prowl shows up just in time to hear Prime brief the other Autobots on a mission, to which Prowl responds "Sir, as your strategic advisor, I have heard your plan and just find it to be pure bollocks."

Bringing Devastator back so he can do more than just knock a few bricks off of a pyramid would be ace.

You figure if you're going to go through all that trouble to combine(the Energon exertion would drive Ratbat crazy), The Fallen and Megatron could have at least placed Devastator in a position to determine the outcome of this big battle instead of doing the same work a few of those anonymous protoforms could have done with a pickaxe and hammer.

I think if given the choice I would have to say that I would want the Autobots to include at least two more partners Mirage,and Wheeljack, Along with the Decepticons getting more seekers (Just don't make them all the same jet there are more then enough transformer models out there to change them up abit My personal hope is for a couple of F22s and a few Warthogs to offset and balance.Also it might be interesting to see a group of Transformers (both Autobots and Decepticons) not wanting to be invovled in the fight anymore but having to fight so they don't have to be. Maybe lead by someone like Springer. But that is just my opinion.

I was just thinking. You know how Jetfire just appears out of nowhere to merge with Prime? Would it make Megatron fans happy if it was revealed in TF3 that it was Megatron that convinced Jetfire to go back and merge with Prime? Maybe he thought it over and he figured that if the last Prime were to be killed, he would never be the ruler of all the Decepticons.

Personally I think the movieverse needs Ultra Magnus. If just for no other purpose than to show an autobot who is physically larger than Prime. That would help sell even further how great Prime really is. He can get larger bots to take orders.
Show that UM is all soldier. Yeah you kinda get that with Ironhide but I think its not so much hes a soldier but just wants to fight.
You could make Magnus, Primes friend. Hell even make him older than Prime. The interaction between the two of them could be great and add something to the story.
Besides, seeing Magnus slapping around some 'cons would be sweet to me. As far as an alot mode, someone said that he cant be a Pete like Prime is. That I agree with, give him his own style. Therefor make Magnus the new International Lone Star. http://www.flickr.com/photos/fresnel10/2256411227/
That has an updated classic styling that would work great for Magnus.

Also, I would love to see Wheeljack. As someone said earlier, Dr. Smoov's Wheeljack would be pure win.

Maybe for the decepticons I would like to see Astrotrain. But not as much as I would like to see Shockwave.

I'm not very knowledgeable on G1 stuffs ( I was born in 86.. grew up with Munkees not trux)but I'd like to see More of Soundwave. His minions as well, like Laserbeak.
Dinobots would be cool. Maybe just Grimlock. He copies the form of one of those giant machines used in Monster Truck rallies that looks like a T-rex.
Prowl as a British police car is a awesome idea.
Unicron could come to earth. He sensed the destruction of the All spark or something. Since the Fallen said the all spark can't be destroy merely transformed.

I want Jolt to actually have a speaking park. More screen time for Sideswipe, Arcee and the other "background bots".
Also I want Barricade to come back from his doughnut run.

which reminds me, this may not be the best place to post, but they had army (i think) hovercraft in ROTF - woulda been a great chance to put in Seaspray!! Why didn't they do this?!?! I understand not havin Hound since Jeep is another property, but come on!! Don't show a hovercraft & no Seaspray!!!

Actually I would love to see Alpha Trion. Since there is probably no such thing as a Vector Sigma in Bayverse, if they show Cybertron again in TF3 maybe they can show old Alpha Trion as I would hope? I loved Alpha Trion actually, he was like a father to me. He's the only Autobot I truly respect and admire. Unlike the other Autobots, he stayed behind to try and find ways to save those still on Cybertron. He protected those who were in hiding and being exterminated. Poor Alpha Trion, he went too soon. :cry:

I would like to see the Autobots currently in getting more screen time, I think including too many more new/old ones would just get too much and even messier than this film was, increased dialogue, and generally better plot surrounding them I mean it is a Transformers live action movie not solely a human drama movie.

I would love to see soundwave and Ratchett more.

Ultra Magnus would also be a nice balance to Optimus Prime especially if it gives the Autobots more dynamic interaction and depth.

Optimus should not die!!! Period. So please no replacing him, but happily make him completely bad ass, he was amazing for the parts of ROTF he was in, want to see more (and hear of course PC's sexy voice).

I am ok with them not being completely G1 purist I love the series but I really like the potential with the new films, especially having read all the prequels and books.

Mainly I want, more/better plot, more Autobot interaction and dialogue and character development, more distinguishing Decepticons, more beautifully choreographed fight scenes like the forest battle in ROTF, more Bumblebee rather than him simply being Sam's taxi.

Hoping the human's that are in it, such as Lennox and Epps, Sam and Mikaela stay in it, don't add too many more, or human villains as such (really worried they will do a G.I. Joe crossover like the comics did, I think that film looks bad).

Definitely slow the pace down a little, just a little, so the Decepticons and Autobots alike become a little more than a blur when the sh*t happens.
