cold shoulder
The transformers weakness is coldness. How does it have to get for them to freeze? Isn't it cold in space or is it only earth's coldness that gets them?

ARGHHHH!
Fact: the vacuum of space is a lot colder than anything on Earth.
The movie TFs supposedly have some special coating on them in protoform mode, while Megatron was in normal alt-mode when flying through space....
And please please please see if your own posts make sense, because most of the time, they don't.

And yet you obviously understood this enough to answer it.

Seriously, lay off her. If you don't understand it then just ask nicely if she can word it a better way. You seem to be making a habit of going to every one of her threads and finding a way to criticise her posts.
And I know i'm not a Mod and a bloody big arsehole myself who's criticised others, but this is just going too far.
As for the topic, Deadpool's answer was good, i'll just stick with "plot hole" though.

Well the pre-quil had it as the rapid change in tempertures from the cold of space....the heat up from freefalling plantery entry and then the following below zero waters of our last ice age.Megatrons body just couldnt keep up.

I dont know how cold but the abilaty for earth to retain heat is limited to its atmasphere. And space has no atmasphere so unless your really close to direct sun light I would assume its pretty cold.

About 2.7 Kelvin, apparently. (With 0 Kelvin being "absolute zero".)

I havn't been there myself but its VERY cold. Lets see...i think that if you didn't wear a space suit....after all the air had been sucked out of you and various internal organs start hanging out of your mouth your body will then proceed to freeze to ice, just like the T-1000 did in Terminator 2. Pretty cool huh?

Agreed. I am so sick of stupid threads being started by people who have almost no comprehension of the English language.
And to answer the original question: Megatron was able to survive in space, as this is simply one of the transformers' really cool abilities BUT the reason why he succumbed to the ice on earth was due to the RAPID temperature changes which came from re-entry into earths atmosphere (1260 °C (2300 °F)) into the extreme colds of the arctic.
He would have basically touched down on the ice and right away sank straight through it into the even colder ocean beneath. This would have been quite a shock id imagine, just like it is for us humans when we jump in to extremely cold water. Imagine what it would have been like to go from 1260 degrees to extreme cold almost immediately?

Burn, the fact is this, man: This chick seemingly has a room tempurature IQ. Her posts are all inanly stupid questions, or ridiculously pointless responses. She doesn't respond to her own topics again after posting them. Take this one topic with a spambot. The original poster was clearly a spambot, and claimed to have the script for Transformers 2. Everyone else was saying "Spambot, spambot, spambot." Her stupid response:
"Sounds good. Can you give us a hint to what is going to be about and you will be in it?"
I could understand if she's like, 'special', ya know, but she just seems like a complete ditz, rather than someone with something wrong upstairs.

In what way does this relate to the topic at hand?
Life can be pretty sweet when your alt-mode is a B-2 Stealth Bomber.
And for those of you who are wondering... I'M A GIRL!

Just to add to what Sonray said (also in attempting to re-rail the topic), even if megs didn't shut down, his body would probably be too brittle for any strenouos activity, so it wouldn't be practical either way....although it doesn't explain how he adapted so quickly in the movie...damn plotholes.Sonray wrote:and to answer the original question: Megatron was able to survive in space, as this is simply one of the transformers' really cool abilities BUT the reason why he succumbed to the ice on earth was due to the RAPID temperature changes which came from re-entry into earths atmosphere (1260 °C (2300 °F)) into the extreme colds of the arctic.

another thing I've noticed about her is that she never defends herself after all you guys rip on her. which leads me to believe that she is
a) very calm and collected and doesn't care what anyone thinks about her.
b) yeah just a complete ditz.
i'm hoping for the former but i'm expecting the latter.
As far as the plot holes go Furman should just write a book filling them all in 'cause if anyone could do it it would be him.

Autobot 420...youd better change your sig before a mod requests you to do so, i dont think thats gonna fly around here cos you know what people are like. It'll only take one overly conservative douche to get you in trouble.

Or c) she has a learning disability.
Not that it matters, Mkall has already dished out warnings in other threads regarding people's comments towards BQ.

Look, if she has a learning disability, fair enough, but I doubt that's the case, since she seems to type things fine. The problem is these posts she makes are often pointless, and rambling, and she never coems back an posts again in her own topics.
