By the logic of the attitude the haters in this thread have, every appearance of a Transformer in non-TF media (Family Guy, Robot Chicken, South Park, The Simpsons, Cartoon Network shows, sitcoms, movies, pop culture in general) should be shunned and cast in a veil of shame, since that's exactly what's happening here.

I really wished I could say why this bugs me. As much as I love both franchises, something was something and I can't say something about it until after BotCon.

Look, I don't have a problem with MLP fans who respect that I don't like the show. I do have a problem with fans that shove the show down my throat and tell me I SHOULD LIKE IT.
I also don't like it when MLP is combined with franchises that I think are superior, as I'm sure most other members of Seibertron who aren't fans of MLP don't like it either.
I just don't like the show and people who force the show on me.

As you can see, I'm not closed-minded either.

And yes, I know this isn't a transformers comic, but you've overlooked one thing.
If it's not about transformers, why is it on the front page?
If this wasn't front page "news" I wouldn't even care. If it was off in the genral discussion area where I don't venture, I'd leave it be. But it's not, it's here on the front page for everyone to see.

It is valid because "Optimus Prime is on the cover". It's also a BotCon variant cover, which makes it even more valid. Hell, we'd cover Arcee on the cover of Playboy too if that were to ever happen.

Who in this topic is saying that? Where in this comic cover is it telling you to like the show? This news topic is obviously not geared towards yourself.

But it's not MLP that's being combined with another franchise, here. It's TF that's being mixed in with another party.

The product might not be a TF product, but it is still a news story related to Transformers, what with the appearance of Optimus Prime on an item to be sold at the official Transformers fan convention, hence its being news'd.

Then I guess any news about a Transformers appearance in something other than TF media/products is invalidated by default as well. Yet, those kinds of news stories continue to be posted here because the news admins deem them newsworthy.

Not "shoving" this down anyones throats but has anyone even watched the show? My little sister is a HUGE fan and some of the episodes are quite awesome. I for one approve this cover as it is completely in pinkie pies character lol xD. This not the death of IDW or anything. They wanted to merge two of there most popular franchises together for a convention exclusive. This is nothing more than a variant cover. So stop getting all upset that Hasbro killed transformers, ewww they got cooties in my transformers...the show isn't THAT girly. It is actually really well made and COMPLETELY different than the original. A lot of internet and pop culture memes make it into the show. Just watch an episode or two and try it before flying off the handle and ragequitting and QQ'ing about this. I definitely would like a few issues of this

Don't knock FIM until you've tried it, people. It's clever, compelling, funny, and has something for everyone. Give it a shot, and you'll most likely be pleasantly surprised.

Okay, seriously,this is starting to disgust me after killing my sides laughing but this somehow ruins the Transformers franchise and yet everything that Michael Bay has done hasn't!?!?!


Let me remind you that this is what his films brought to the franchise:

-Racist Autobots that never shut up and continuously offend every ounce of intelligence of the audience.

-Robotic testicles that have no purpose existing other than a weak and 3rd grade level balls joke.

-John Turturro's bare white ass

-Shia Labeouf. Need I say more?

-A very kill crazy Optimus Prime who show little to no remorse for killing Decepticons.

-That sudden death of certain character barely minutes after introduction.

-A Joe Pesci sound-a-like Decepticon who dry humps Mikaela's leg. Again,a joke that not only shouldn't exist for logic's sake and for bringing back robosexuality in the series since Starscream and Alexis.

-Linkin Park.

-and plenty others I will be ready to post in due time due to whatever hypothetical character limitations for each post.....


So how does this cover more ruin a franchise more than the damage Michael Bay has done with his films?

Though normally, I would just look at this cover and think, "Oh, look, a pony and Optimus! How strange!" and then forget about it, the comments in this thread have made this news post a bit more memorable.
