I got a Devy so I'm happy. Would've loved to get the stormtrooper too but no such luck. Kinda sucks that they took away the free shipping though.

To be dead honest though, from seeing the evidence since SDCC, that stormtrooper was gonna be near impossible to get. And there were scalpers abound on that thing. Wont the retail release be similar though?

I got one from BBTS for 50 bucks. I guess it's a good deal.. main reason I didn't chance it and add him to my cart

Anyone who has a large order, call HTS. they had my order on hold. so you'll need to call to confirm everything for them to release it.

I'm assuming you didn't get the order confirmation email? Or even with one you need to call? Because my order was over $200 and I got a confirmation From them a little while ago.

I got a confirm right away. still needed to call my order was over $400. don't know what the limit is before they put your order on hold but you might as well call to find out.

Was worried for a while that the Combiner Hunters set was going to unexpectedly sell out before I got home today after the Dinobot set sold out almost instantly last year (glad I didn't get that now with the Platinum set) but it seems they were prepared this year for the Transformers stuff. I don't expect them to release either of this years set latter on as Platinum editions but I could be wrong. If they do a G2 Devy next year Platinum or not they may use the toy accurate head.

My one and only goal was to get the Marvel Legends box set. Mission accomplished - I'm happy I got my one 'must-have' item. I would have liked to get my hands on the Stormtrooper, or to get the Combiner Hunters set in with my ML order, but I didn't want to risk it.

It's amazing both TF exclusives (+KreO) are still in stock... the after market likely won't be kind to them.

Here is something that is completely pointless, but raises at least one of my eyebrows. I was cruising around BBTS and decided to see if BBTS was still asking for high prices on the SDCC stuff.

Both Devy and the hunters have vanished from their site. I found some old links lying around and they are both listed as "sold out".

TFSource still has theirs for $300, so maybe it's not a conspiracy? Maybe...

I think they figured they can't move them now that they are in-stock for much less and BBTS can't sell it for retail because that's what they get it at so they just decide to hold on to till them until after they go out of stock at HTS. There is no conspiracy here.

I think it might be that there isnt the same interest as last year for the SDCC stuff, at least with Devy. This stuff is always more for the fans and their collector space and wallet might be limited to only one release for a guy that size and the general agreement is the Takara version is the preferred one.

Counterpoint: SDCC Metroplex sold like hot cakes (similar price point to Devy).

There's definitely a lack of interest compared to past years - most people seem to prefer the retail version of Devy, and the Combiner Hunters is more or less targeted at the IDW sub-niche of collectors. Tough market.
