The Galactic Empire vs

Postby Nuffs » Tue Nov 06, 2007 3:43 pm

The Death Star was destroyed a month ago and apparently Palps is nuttier than ever before, which has resulted in... Well. Let's just say that Palpatine really, really, really managed to piss the wrong Q this morning with his rants about "unlimited power". So in order to keep the nut busy for a while, the Q Continuum decides to do the following:

-The Asgard from Stargate have just shown up in a planet located in a galaxy close to the GFFA and have decided to grant the Rebel Alliance technological and military help in their fight against the evil Galactic Empire. That means full scale technological sharing, yeah.

-Every world in the GE has just been seeded with Ork spores. As soon as they mature, local authorities will have to deal with around a million Ork warriors with numbers increasing if feasible.

-The Covenant just replaced the Ssi-Ruuk Imperium beyond the GEs border and they are now convinced that Centerpoint Station in the Corellian system is the Forerunner relic that they must activate if they want to begin the Great Journey. They are going to throw everything they have in Corellia's general direction.

-There are reports of giant Spider-like ships from Hell showing up all over the place and blowing a few freighters here and there. The Shadows from Babylon 5 are active and trying to further the cause of Chaos with their limited means. The location of their homeworld of Z'ha'dum is unknown to the Empire at this point.

-For some reason, the Jedi Temple has just been rebuilt and every single Jedi killed as a result of General Order 66 is now fairly alive and in Coruscant, heading straight for the Imperial Palace. Mace is at the front and has shown a polite interest in a rematch with a few friends as back-up. For no good reason at all, Dooku is alive, too, and would like a word or two with his former boss.

-The Fleetmind of Schlock Mercenary just got relocated along with all its resources to the Deep Core of the GFFA. They are feeling rather confused, but are going to resume the agenda they have in their original setting by manipulating things to ensure the advent of a happier, more peaceful galaxy for everyone. With terapedo spam, if they must.

-At the same time, the Yuuzhan Vong just appeared in the Galactic Rim quite a bit ahead of schedule. They are also a tad surprised, but are not about to balk the invasion after such a clear sign of divine favour. Their attack is coming from the same general direction used in the OTL.

-R. Daneel Olivaw and around a million of his robot followers have been taken from the Foundationverse. Of course, the laws of robotics force them to try to help humankind out of this mess, but it isn't easy. Incidentally, their mentalic abilities do work in this setting.

-The Brainspawn Infosphere from Futurama has been taken out of its dimensional prison and dropped just outside the galaxy. Don't worry much, because the Brainspawn aren't going to destroy this universe before learning everything about it and that should take them a few million years. It is likely, however, that there will be attacks in the fashion of "The Day the Earth Stood Stupid". To even things a bit, the Skywalkers enjoy the same protection from their "make-people-stupid" beams that Fry did.

-The Hutts found a funny looking, insect-like ship floating in space and send a expedition to find out wtf it is. Result: Jabba the Hutt is now the captain of the Lexx. Nuff said.

-Somewhere in Geonosis, a Core Commander just finished a metal extractor. Yes, a Core Commander as in the Total Annihilation folks. And he has a Krogoth for personal protection. No Implosion Device, of course.

-The JL (cartoon version) Watchtower just appeared in orbit around Dagobah. Passengers include the seven core members (SM, GL, WW, MM, Flash, Batman and Hawkgirl). After having a brief chat with the only intelligent resident of the world below, the League decides that it is time for super-heroics and also decides to help the Rebel Alliance to restore democracy to the galaxy.

-I'm running out of ideas, folks. Add your own mini-disaster for the Empire. Things that would single-handedly topple the Empire shouldn't be used. No "Galactus just ate Coruscant" or stuff like that.

Any opinions about how well the Empire could defend itself against this level of chaos?

Motto: "Follow your instincts and your common sense."
Palpy wakes up. His black sheets and pillows are in disarray. He's sweating.

'All that stuff was just a dream!' he realises. 'It's the price we Sith pay for going down this path of eevil weevil. Anyway, I should get on with my next master plan. Arise, Kathleen Kennedy!'

'I'm already up and cooking Ewoks for breakfast,' replies Kathleen from the black kitchen nearby.

'Good! Good!' says Palpy, relaxing and stretching.
