Transformers #21 highest domestic gross of all time.
Beating out many others with a total gross of $311,381,546
Is is doubtful it is going to go any higher when it hits IMAX but still it is quit impressive for a movie based on toyline.

Man, I should start posting these things. I saw that a few days ago and figured it was already known here.

It's unfair in my opinion, that they allow movies with multiple releases on that list. If the movie has a multiple release it should just get credit for it's original release. I can't believe how much Titanic made though. I forced my way through that movie and I was wishing it was over at about the 1 hour mark. LOL

Wow, in 2007 money, Titanic probably would have been over the Billion Dollar mark. I knew it did phenominally well, but had no idea it was still SO much higher than everything else.
Given the list of VERY impressive releases, TF (currently) ranking at #21 is a damn fine achievement. Though I would be interested to see how these films rank based on Worldwide figures, as well as DVD sales figures.
I'm actually pretty shocked at how low so many other "big" movies are actually ranked - X-Men, Seven, Toy Story, The Departed, etc. and the way that each Spider-Man film has made less money per sequel.

I don't care what anyone says--Titanic deserves to be at the top. Or at least near it. Everything about the movie was well-done, and maybe it's because I'm a chick (although I despise chick flicks) but I love the movie. I can't believe it spent two or three months at number 1 in the box office, though.

I think Titanic hit a billion worldwide making it the higgest grossing film of all time when not adjusting for inflation.
Also last I heard, Transformers was #29 worldwide. While not as impressive, still pretty dang good.
EDIT: Number 28 worldwide now.

Yeah, I'll be Seeing this in IMAX at least 2 or 3 times. I must admit, I saw Titanic a number of times in the theater, as well; More because that was the thing to do back when that came out. I'm very happy with the ranking of Transformers. It'll only get better!

I saw Titanic once in the cinema, and have no particular urge to ever see it again. However, one of my friends went to see it about three times a week for the entire course of its run, so she did her bit to bump the numbers up.
I have, however, seen TF three times in cinemas- twice in the States and once here in the UK down in Manchester. I intend to make it four when it comes to the IMAX at the Glasgow Science Centre. I'm doing my bit dammit!
