Transformers tearjerker moment.
Ok, so I am a total wuss, but I recall as a kid back in the 80's that I totally got choked up at the end of "Fire In The Sky" over Skyfire's apparent death. Anyone else?

Well, not really. It wasn't like when Prime died and he stayed gone for the better part of season 3. Jetfire came back the very next ep... which I always thought was retarded.

Prime's death in the movie did it for me.
Of course, I really lost it in the Japanese Headmasters when Soundwave bought it.

Never got choked up, but the closest and probably one of the greatest moments in TF history was when Armada Starscream died. His life story was what really made it impactful, and then his final attack was all for naught.

Well, yeah... but when it first aired, none of us knew that!

I can only think of two times when I cried while watching Transformers. The first was Optimus Prime's death in the movie, of course.
The second time, however, was during the Cybertron series when Vector Prime "died" or disappeared or whatever you want to call it.
Shocked?

I didn't watch a lot Cybertron but that was kind of sad but not as sad or as badass as when Dinobot died.
Though I must say, I never cried while watching a cartoon.

I get teary, but it's easy for me, I'm a chick.
Optimus Prime was the first that got me in the movie, as well as for Ironhide and the others in the ship, and I was really upset when Starscream died too.
Dinobot was also a very sad moment, I was angry he never came back...somehow.
Armada Starscream, also, I love that part when he gave his life up, it's too sad and heartbreaking. Even when he came back on Cybertron, he wasn't the same.

I remember I was at the movies with my mum. When Prime died I was eating a choc top ice cream I was so upset that I couldn't eat it because I felt sick so Mum had to eat it.
BTW I am also man enough to admit that the only other movie I have cried in was the land before time when the mother dinosaur died....(waits for everyone to laugh)

I totally agree man. Prowl was...IS my favourite tf of all time to see him gunned down by a constructicon no less... It was a disgrace. Maybe someone who is a bit of a badass like Blitzwing fair enough but Scavenger...gimme a break

I was shocked from the moment Brawn got gunned down. I really took a liking to him in "The Ultimate Doom". I'd seen Autobots get shot before and go down, but there was something about the way that Brawn crumpled on the floor that seemed so FINAL.
To my credit, I didn't cry at any of the deaths in TF the Movie, but it took MAJOR effort on my part to choke back the tears.

There are only two moments in Transformers that I ever recall crying.
First is Prime's death in the movie, but that was when I first saw it as a kid and I don't really cry anymore from it especially since I know that he does, eventually, come back.
And the second is, and I shall be entirely truthful, is that I do cry every single time I watch Dinobot in "Code of Hero".

What's the point in feeling emotion over the characters' deaths when death seems to roughly equate to sitting out the next three or four episodes before a dramatic resurrection?
It's like feeling emotion over dying in a multiplayer FPS game while you're waiting for the respawn timer.

I cant speak for everyone here but for me it was the first time I had seen anything like that and I was 7. Of course I've watched the movie a zillion times since and haven't cried once.

For me it was Dinobot's death in "Code of hero", the first time i watched it i knew deep down that he was going to die, but i didn't want to believe it.
And i'm always sad when Primal and Megs die at the end of BM.

Prime's death. I was eight, it was very tramutizing. lol. of course watching it after Season three, you know he comes back, but I compare it with Spock's death in Wrath of Kahn. He does have a death scene, you know he comes back, but it doesn't make it all the less sadder.

Armada Starscream's death. I knew it was coming from the very beginning, but that didn't hurt the potency of the scene at all. Everything was absolutely perfect. It was pity though, to see such an awesome character come back, only to be reduced to a mindless henchman.
