Bad Boys II: even better than the original. More Action, More humor, and a longer movie. Can it get any better than that?

The Island: Ewen Mcgregor at his best! Scarlett Johanson is also easy on the eyes. While I agree with some of the complaints about the movie, ie like how super easy it was to escape from the evil underground cloning facility, it still was a pretty damn good movie and good watch. As usual, Action was great, courtesy of Micheal bay.

Transformers: Very pleased in how this turned out. Micheal bay did the action and plot very well. Love how everything was shot from the human's perspective, it was an interesting touch, and while many people complain about it, I thought it gave the movie more of the "OMG THIS IS REALLY HAPPINING" touch it needed. Micheal Bay's best to date.

So whats with the hate? I never quite got it. Growing up my favorite movies were the Terminator series, Die Hard, Predator, and Lethal Weapon. Its thanks to Micheal Bay that these same type if action movies get to live on!

Pearl Harbour... CRAP!

Bad Boys 1 - LOL, please this movie has no point and almost as little acting talent.

Bad Boys 2 - LOL as bad as the first.

Armaggeddon - even a fantastic cast couldn't save this retarded ensemble of filmatography crap.

The Island - almost universally thought of as his worst movie ever. Since we won't talk about how bad Pearl Harbour was and how historically innaccurate it was with it's modern day warships and all....

The Transformers. An ok movie, would have been loads better without so many stupid human characters that served no purpose. Had the characters served more of a purpose they might have had a better movie. That and the crappy designs (not including Optimus of course) and the damn shaky cam and dumb ass american military crap all over the place. I mean geez, you'd think it was an army recruitment video with all it's americanized "The military is great crap".

So let's see, is there some reason anyone should like his stuff??? Transformers is the best movie the man ever made and it suffers from numerous problems. Like a well developed plot.

He is contributing to the same thing that happened to hip hop is happening to transformers.
Thats why I hate Michael Bay.

it's now the same type pricks and sheep who say that 'corny ass artist name here' is the **** because his album went platinum the first week of sales that are saying "oh, if the movie is so bad, why did it make some much money?" or some reasonable facsimile of that argument thereof. I propose a moratorium on using the grosses to butress the 'it was great' argument. Alot of people thought the holocaust was a great idea too, that does not make it good.

screw G1, why could the movie plot not have been as good as the beastwars plot? and don't get me wrong, for some movies there is room for argument, but some movies just suck.
michael bay could have saved this movie, but instead, he made a typical, cookie-cutter action movie. There are alot of people who were so desparate to see their hobby broguth to the big screen that they now bend over backwards to defend it, which I find really dishonest. I can admit that the designs and action scenes were not that bad, but I don't see how someone could believe that:
1) Anthony Anderson's character was really neccessary to the plot.
2)bumblebee peeing on a human was funny
3)Jazz needed to be a 'ghettobot' (scatman is really spining in his grave)
4) the whole backyard scene was not cring-worthy (it makes me irritated just thinking about it)

if anyone can present a cohesive argument as to why these points were vital to the plot progression, I would be suprised and even impressed, but I doubt that will happen. Someone will probably post on how I am a geewunner and afraid of change and what not.

Man its the same crap with you people isnt it? Change the freaking record! All i ever hear is "waaah bumblebee pee'ed on someone! Waaah Jazz was black (even though he was "black" in the original cartoon, so i still dont understand why people are pissed off with this. If anything people should be glad they kept movie Jazz true to G1 Jazz) and he died! Waaah, too many humans! (even though nearly EVERY episode of the cartoon has humans in it, go figure...) Waaah Micheal Bay sucks because he didnt make an oscar winning Titanic and LOTR beater with a subject matter that was always about as complex and deep as Paris Hilton! TRANSFORMERS NEEDS TO BE DEEP AND PHILOSOPHICAL, EVEN IF ITS ORIGINAL SUBJECT MATTER WAS NEVER EVER ABOUT ANYTHING BUT BIG ROBOTS FIGHTING EACH OTHER! ME WANTS TRANSFORMERS TO WIN OSCARSSSS! I share your sentiments. Looking back at the Trailer and then the movie, I would have to say thats gross misrepresentation. The tone set in the trailer was epic, semi dark and an overall seriousness that the actual movie lacked. The trailer gave me goosebumps then movie left me wanting

Erm..no, and thats not what im doing anyway. Dont come to me and accuse me of starting anything as that was dealt with ages ago and started by someone else.

All im doing is expressing my opinion just like everyone else is. So if that clashes with yours then thats not my problem, but dont expect me to back down when some idiot tries to shove his bullshit, biased opinion down my throat as i dont take too kindly to that.

Moving on...as for the whole Jazz debate I think where some people have a problem is that in the cartoon while Jazz was obviously an urban or black character, he still had a sense of good intelligence and was always able to represent himself well even dispite his cliche' lingo...He could have an strategic discussion with Preceptor, a heart to heart with Prime, and later on be jammin it up with Blaster...In the movie he's just a walking cliche' of random urban phrases with really no center to him...That's why I think many people have a problem with how trite he is presented in the movie like a breakdancin' studio thug who can only talk in stereotypical rhetoric in ALL instances...
