That is big for a 4th of July since it has never been considred a strong movie going day....that brings the domestic total to about 66 million in basically 2 1/2 days with the weekend to come. My best guess is they hit about 135 to 150 million by Sunday.

I should add that my guess was just over 300 million domestic and I think they get there based on what we have seen so far....I would be shocked if they are sitting at 140 to 150 by Sunday and don't finish out at or just over 300 mil

One last thougt. Looking over the numbers on the 1st Spiderman, they did 83 mil for the 1st 2 days, but it opened on a Friday. Spiderman 2 opened similar to Transformers. Spiderman 2 opened on a Wed and there 2 day haul was 64 mil.
Transformers at 2 days and the 8pm showing on Monday is at 66 mil. Not bad at all when you compare. Spriderman 3 opened on a Friday for a 2 day gross of about 111 mil. but then tailed off much quicker then the 1st two. I would say that Transformers being a non sequel is doing incredibly well.
