SHHH maybe this alternators release of Rodimus will drive the Kiss players version down low enough to stand purchasing it..SHHHH... but keep it down......toy shop owners are the worst collectoras and rip us fans off if they know we want soemthing bad enough...

Because it ties him to G-1 nd yes no other one has that accessory, that is true, but why is that?? Why not have a little more then we are used tyo getting, I mean they are just plastic pipes that combine to form a fishing rod, but they tie the Alternator back tot he G-1 Hotrod from the fishing scene in the 1986 Movie, and the arm canons are alos centric to that character.. its just halfassed to me without those arm canons..

Anyway, IF it is a con exclusive Im not too worried. The last one (alt Nemesis Prime) was barely anymore than the rrp of alts in shops in the UK via ebay.

I don't know. Seems kinda odd to throw an Alt into the Classics mix. Plus why waste the effort of boxing the figure when last years sold out effortlessly in clear plastic bags?

If it is a convention exclusive, I could see it being another SDCC figure.

hmmmm

Not quite sure what to make of this. While the figure is beautiful, the packaging doesn't look 100%. Look at that outward bubble. It's too big, and Hasblo seem pretty good at making the bubble packaging.

While I love the idea of an Alternators rendition of Hotrod, given my love for the somewhat out there Jap release, and the possibility of the Alternators coming off Hiatus again- with a pretty good start none the less- I just don't want to be all happy and looking forward to the release, when there is the chance that the product is fan made.

Actually, can anyone tell if there is any die-cast visible from the pictures? That'd be a good indicator of whether this is a fan-made box with BT figure inside, or the real Hasblo deal.

Why would there be die cast? Neither Alt Mirage or Kiss Rodimus has it.
