What do you guys thing was the best figure 'upgrade'? By this I mean that the same character goes through a change of some sort during the progress of the show or toy line. This could be Beast Wars -> Transmetals, Generation 1 -> Generation 2, Megatron -> Galvatron, Armada -> Energon, or just the characters changing during the actual toyline/show.

I have a special affinity for the Cybertron Defense team. I think that Cybertron Defense Hotshot is so much better than his original form, and Cybertron Defense Scattershot is really sweet too. Although I noticed that people don't seem to see that the missile rack on his right arm shifts forward to better fit the cannon that pops out.

Anyways, what are your favorites?

Bumblebee's upgrade in the movie, and Optimus Primal's ascent into his optimal Optimus body.

TF Movie:
1. Optimus Prime Protoform to Optimus Prime Peterbilt semi tractor
2. Ironhide's upgrade from swimming pool "tooth fairy" to Topkick
3. Bumblebee scanning the Camaro in the tunnel

I agree with Ballistic90 that the Cybertron Defense Team upgrade is awesome too.
