Favourite Revenge Movies
- Weapon: Stinger Missile
Anyone have a favourite movie in which the protagonist is motivated by revenge?
For me, RoboCop is always a cool one: a cop gets gunned down, starts getting flashbacks, then hunts down the gang that killed him.
Memento was also great: a guy gets attacked, loses his ability to make memories, then hunts down the guy that killed his wife.
And for humour, Office Space: most of the movie is sticking it to the company that Peter hated, but the printer scene alone is a classic show of revenge for his two cohorts.

Falling Down
while not a revenge movie in the traditional sense, Mike Douglas does get to go ape@#$% insane on society.

...or does he..?
That is a brilliant film.
I'd have to vote Straightheads (I think it was retitled Closure in the States), with Gillian Anderson and Danny Dyer. Damn hard to watch (as in emotionally taxing), but so worth it.

Equilibrium. While not solely about revenge for what the government did, it was a right bit of badassery.
And of course, Revenge of the Sith.

Re: Favourite Revenge Movies
It's probably not my favorite, but Death Sentence is a pretty good revenge movie.

It's not a movie, but the South Park episode "Scott Tenorman Must Die" deserves mention. the ultimate act of revenge: Tricking someone into eating a hearty chili made of their parents.
But I have to say The Punisher, mostly because it's the only one that comes to mind, bu also because it has the least morbid and most effective torture scene ever: Torture by Popsicle.

Commando comes to mind. Best scene from that movie was when he raided an armory. Recently, Kill Bill.
