Regardless of my own stance on this, I just don't feel how I should be sincere about this release. It's a character we already got a few years ago - a character whose one of a huge cast of characters who have yet to have figures not just in WFC/FOC, but in any Transformers line for awhile - has the exact same alternate mode, and same robot mode. Nothing really aesthetically pleasing other than the fact that it's bigger. If I wanted a bigger WFC/FOC Soundwave, I'd go ask some KO company do it, albeit I'd be more eager to throw any KO contacts I had at the ground to Hasbro's dogs.

Oh sweet, he holds his minions? But it's so aesthetically farce that I want laugh. Can I throw playdoh in there too to make my own discs?

I'm also stupefied as to why we are seeing Soundblaster with these official pictures. I can understand how marketable it is to show a brand new mold and then it's repaint, but I'll remind you that brand new mold + repaint is replacing brand new mold + brand new mold. I'd also like to say that it's stupid to even show Soundblaster. Oh who are they possibly going to repaint Soundwave into, a **** Bumblebee?

I'm never really distraught with a product before I own it with my own hands, but I just feel that this is a foolish release.

I remember when I got hold of Powermaster Prime he reminded me of something but I couldn't figure out what. Then my dad walked in, with his belly overhanging his stonewash denims, and I figured it out. Powermaster OP was obviously modelled on a paunchy, middle aged man!

I don't know the intricacies of the Hasbro's inner workings, but a new mold and a repaint doesn't necessarily mean missing out on another new mold. It's not like they have to do a new mold for a straight repaint is it?

I do know that people complained about the deluxe Soundwave not having minions. I also know that people complained about not getting a Classics Soundblaster. Hasbro actually listened to us here. I am not going to jinx it by complaining.

I'd much rather have an unnecessary Voyager Soundwave/Soundblaster than an unnecessary Voyager Bumblebee/"Arctic Sunstorm" Bumblebee.

When I heard about this from the BotCon updates, I misheard and thought it was gonna be Blaster. The Soundblaster repaint actually looks pretty sweet, though. These are still pretty pointless, though, if they're the only voyagers they do...aka if they don't do a Prime and Megatron voyager.

Well, in regards to detail, does there have to be that much? I mean, G1 Soundwave, and pretty much the whole early G1 cast, had pretty simplistic and subtle character models that did not require a whole lot of detail to their appearance. The Music Label Soundwave may not look like the most snazzy, flashy, wow design that pop out at ya, but it's pretty much the most show-accurate looking G1 Soundwave you'll ever find.

And, owning this mold, there actually are some little details thrown in for that extra touch, such as tech patterns on his shoulders. But it's the subtlety to his design that makes it work. Along with its impressive articulation.

But, I do gotta agree on the price and lack of a good minion gimmick. I'd trade those for its lackluster MP3 player feature (since mine died and its now 100% action figure).

I was about to disagree with you on the Voyager Bumblebee, saying that Generations hasn't re-done a single character unless there's a major differece i.e. Classics vs Generations Bumblebee, then I remembered that this is a thread on a Voyager Soundwave...l

I have a feeling that this Soundwave is going to have to suffice as Classics Soundwave for a while.

Neither Leader nor Voyager for BB. Weaponizers is a whole new class of its own.

I'm sure it'll be called leaders on the box, just like the Powerizers are still labeled Voyagers on the box, but still called Powerizers according to Hasbro.
