We're getting Frenzy, Rumble, Ratbat and Ravage in Cyberverse 2-packs.

I have a buttload of Bakugans... Bakugans work based on a macnetic hook. When it is rolled onto a magnetic card, the magnet inside the figure is pulled down, along with a hook that unlocks the catch, allowing the pieces to pop up...
Since auto-transforming Lazerbeak and friends would most likely NOT need magnets, I wonder how they're gonna pull off the auto-transform

In some of the Botcon pics, a small black trigger was visible on the bottom of the alt-mode of Laserbeak. So when it hits the table after popping out of Soundwave's chest, the trigger is released and the spring-loaded transformation...springs.

Nice spot, kirbenvost! That'd certainly be a very decent gimmick... though I expect it will work better for the likes of Laserbeak and Ravage than FrenzyRumble. I expect the former two molds to pop out/up just fine, while latter two will just land on their back.
As an aside, it's the Bakugan that contains the magnet, the cards are just pieces of some magnetic metal, like iron. My bakugan make pretty decent fridge magnet for that reason.

OK, this will be a hard choice for me. If Voyager Soundwave is roughly similar in height with WFC Megatron, I'll have to consider him. Was Soundwave taller than Megatron in the G1 cartoon?

Yeah, I dunno how it will work for Frenzy/Rumble, might just be manual transformation.

Bought on sight- I love the FOC Voyager Soundwave AND Soundblaster. I love the look, the bulk, the throw backs to G1. The fact that his chest pops open WITH AN EJECT button. That's just COOL! Can't wait- I am definitely excited for this one and I personally don't see what's NOT to love. Looks like a great toy and a great Generations Soundwave if you ask me.

Man, Hasbro's Photoshop artists really do earn their wages. These two look awesome, but I have no interest in them. They're great looking toys but not collector quality in my opinion.
I'm just slightly miffed that Hasbro have spent some of their budget to essentially re-release a figure they've already released with an added gimmick that should've been there first time round. Feels like such a waste.

I bet they will be weighted in some way. will probably have to plug them into his chest a specific way. so it pops out unfolds and lands on their feet.

They didn't show Soundblaster at BotCon, but we did see Soundwave.
If you want Buzzsaw and Laserbeak, you'll have to get both versions.
Though, Soundblaster makes no sense here since Soundwave never becomes Soundblaster (unless he changes back for some reason, or if Soundblaster is a different character this time).
There's also Cyberverse Legions versions of Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage, and Ratbat coming who also turn into data disks.
I'll probably get them both, but I'd feel more compelled to get them if there were a Voyager Optimus Prime and Megatron (in either WFC or FOC bodies) to go with him, since he'll be towering over their Deluxe toys when he's the same size as Megatron in the game.

For what it's worth, we're not 100% sure that the Aligned Continuity doesn't split somewhere and become the Prime continuity. So it's possible that Soundwave could become Soundblaster in FoC without that having any impact on Prime.

Or, like I said, he changes back to Soundwave afterward. I mean, in Marvel G1, Bumblebee got upgraded in Goldbug, and then back into Bumblebee when he became a Pretender.RAcast wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Though, Soundblaster makes no sense here since Soundwave never becomes Soundblaster (unless he changes back for some reason, or if Soundblaster is a different character this time).![]()

And we've seen other cases like:
* Hot Rod --> Rodimus Prime --> back to Hot Rod
* Megatron --> Galvatron --> back to Megatron
* Skywarp --> Cyclonus' Armada --> back to Skywarp (3H The Wreckers comic)
Or, even Soundblaster could be a separate character like how Galaxy Force Soundblaster was to Cybertron Soundwave.

Or we can just accept that Hasbro will do whatever Hasbro wants to do regardless of whatever current lore bible they have.

Going by official scale guides:

Megatron was taller than Soundwave by roughly half a head, who in turn was taller than Starscream by roughly half a head.

Megatron was taller than Soundwave by roughly half a head, who in turn was taller than Starscream by roughly half a head.

Scale's been screwed up for a while. Shockwave is much taller than Megatron and Starscream ingame and yet he receives the deluxe. I'm more bitter about how we pretty much have nulled the existence of two Generations 2010 figures with Prime and Soundwave getting new molds. And who knows, with Megatron/BB as popular as they are, will likely get new figures in new sizes.

I was about to say how terrible the new Prime figure is, then I remembered the repaint. All is forgiven Fattimus Prime!
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.

I wouldn't be surprised by new figures, but don't hold your breath on new sizes. Optimus' new format is supposed to be huge and bulkier than before, but he's still a deluxe. Besides, for 28 years Hasbro hasn't given a damn about scale issues in the toys. The very recent trend of rehashing partial or full casts in each size is the closest thing we'll come to a bone for accuracy hounds.
