Is it possible, with a screwdriver, to switch CW Magnus and PM Prime/Ginrai cabs?

I don't have PM Prime or Ginrai. But after seeing the 3rd party stuff that involves removing the cabs for Prime and Magnus and noting that the replacement cabs for both seem to be the same mold, it hit me that you could probably:

1) Put a Power Master Prime or Ginrai cab in Magnus.

2) Bonus, get a more G1 looking robot mode (at the expense of vehicle mode). No more white/silver peaking out behind the chestplate.

3) Have a Headmaster Magnus that supports the Titan Master Magnus that comes with Arcee. Which is, unbelievably, almost the same size as Magnus' stock head.

I'd seen people discuss an adapter for TM Magnus. But this seems like it would work without an adapter. And if you're extra crafty, you could apply white paint to the bits of the Prime cab covered by Magnus' chestpiece.

Not sure whether the Magnus chestpiece would be a smooth enough fit over the Prime cab to latch. But if the 3rd party Magnus and Prime replacements both work, this... MIGHT?

Weapon: Battle Blades
This sounds entirely reasonable :)

Yes, it would work, but there would be some definite drawbacks (at least for me). The connection points are the same for both molds between the cab, trailer and chectplate, so physically it should fit just fine.

Here are my issues with it:

For scale, the CW Ultra Magnus head is much better than the TM Ultra Magnus head for a leader class figure. The die cast TM head is just too small. On top of that, it would be completely covered by the helmet except for the eyes. So by switching the cabs, you end up losing the best UM head for the scale of the figure.

On the aesthetics side, the white cab with the red and grey trailer is going to look a bit off. UM's trailer does have some red in it, so the PMOP/Ginrai cab should look fine there.

I'm just not seeing what you are trying to accomplish, especially with potentially having to paint the area that the chestplate doesn't cover.

Is the helmet mandatory to the process? Most of the other TR figures I've had could avoid the helmet in bot mode.

I guess my biggest issue is how the white/silver around the abs slims Magnus. I like him to have some girth.

The actual faces for TM and CW Magnus heads are about the same size. The big difference is the antennae. The figures circa CW had REALLY tiny heads for anime/heroic proportion purposes. I think we've lost sight of that with the more natural proportions of head-to-body in TR.

I've asked this before in my quest for a Titans Return Ultra Magnus.

Even though Combiner Wars Ultra Magnus with Minimus Ambus fits the fiction better, I would have liked to see a Titans Return Ultra Magnus with a Minimus Ambus Titan Master.
