We recently reported that John Malkovich would be playing a role in Transformers 3. IGN took the time to catch up with him, as well as Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura. Check it out below...

The makers of Transformers 3 are really classing-up the joint in terms of actors, having recently cast thesps John Malkovich and Frances McDormand in the film. IGN recently spoke with the franchise's producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura as well as Malkovich himself about the third film and what we can expect from the actor's involvement in the project.

"You know, we don't talk a lot about that script, but [Malkovich is] going to have a lot of interaction with Shia [LaBeouf] in that movie," says the producer, seemingly confirming reports that the actor will play LaBeouf's first boss. "And he's got a really fun character. And he's going to bring a really interesting spin to that franchise so it's going to be great."

Malkovich, meanwhile, admitted that he likes a good giant-robot movie as much as the next guy, despite his seemingly higher-brow tendencies.

...while the rest can be seen over at IGN here.

Still can't quite get my head around the awesome fact that Malkovich is in #3! Hope he doesn't just play Sam's boss, meaning I want him to have good moments telling him to shut the hell up whining, etc! (Think Dr. Cox to J.D. in 'Scrubs'!) :-B

At least with Malkovich, the film will have some great acting talent!

I've been compiling a scale list (largest to smallest) of the Film Transformers based on; vehicle/alternate modes (with the best dimension data possible), as many official charts I could find & most crucially, the figures I actually own & desire! If anyone would like a bit of assistance in scale or would simply like a peek at the list, do say so! ^^

(Also been working on something big; I'm a writer, so that's a clue... ;))

Hmmm, first boss ay? I could se him playing the scientist that works alongside Sam from the "leaked (fake) script" that we got earlier.

So who does Mr. Malkovich play, again? I forgot. Other than that, not really enough info. I would like to see some more robot cast, for example, will Unicron be in it? Galvatron? Only time will tell if our old G1 favorites will hot the silver screen... again. =P~
They call me “Tanker Chungus”!

Vote now for Malkovich as Bumblebee's voice. The radio thing is boring.

I met Mr. Malkovich when I was an extra on the movie Jonah Hex. One evening he even ate lunch with us. A very nice guy indeed.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

I'd like for them replace the Radio with some other actor. Mark Ryan is a great voice over actor, but he's not the right fit for bumble bee. He was excellent as Jetfire though. They could always go get Johnny Bosch who's playing Bee in war for cybertron. (Vash the stampede and the 2nd black ranger.) Or go really old school and get Dan Gilvezan who voiced G1 bee.
