i'm sort of okay with that line but the main thing wrong with that line is that it was unmessasary. like others have said, sams mom asked if he was doing stuff but didnt ask about mekala when she and sam where ALONE in his LOCKED bedroom. sams mom was just like good job, you got a girl.
if she was able to ask sam if he was jacking off then she shoud have asked sam if he was "jumping" around with mekala

I have to say I am getting sick of listening to ppl whine about stuff that really doesnt matter all that much its a three word question in a movie that was a little "racy" it wasnt that bad... I was in the movie theatre with my four year old and the line really didnt offend me or make me ask myself why? 2007, hollywood, Michael Bay , IMO poor writing , giant robots , masturbating , and giant golden showers

I just thought it was a bit...unnecasary for a movie about giant robots.

Yeah, I mean...throw that scene into "Knocked Up", or "Superbad" or something. The whole "American Pie"-meets-"Transformers" thing was totally unnecessary. PLUS, like so many other unnecessary scenes in the movie, took up precious time that would have been better spent with giving the 'Cons some more characterization.
