RUMOUR: Masterpiece Ultra Magnus available at Wal-Mart.com?
- Weapon: Double-Barreled Assault Missile Launcher
It might be MP-02. I can't see it being a reissue of G! Magnus. When TRU started reissued him a few years ago at the start of their commerative series, G1 Magnus was a shelf-warmer. He just did not sell and I think he was priced then at $39.99. There is no way someone would double the price for G1 Magnus and expect it to go anywhere.

i have a feeling its a reissue g1. i went over to bigbadtoystore and they have a resissue up for 100, pre order.
http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/prod ... ode=retail
the only re oddity is weight and size since neither figure was 6 lbs. heres hoping is the masterpiece so i can justify buying one .

Any thoughts??

You are kidding, right?
We would never be so lucky!
If it did have ATTACHABLE armor, I would swoop down on that badboy faster than a diabetic sigle mother of 6 on a cheesecake!!!
But this just can't be the case: We have not even heard of a rumor from Takara, claiming they will produce the trailer/armor for it, so I am a bit skeptical.
I would LOVE to be wrong, however!

Interesting. Too bad my walmart won't get any of these. Damned useless walmart

this has to be the mp version of him. theres no way the resissue would be in that size box and weigh 6 pounds.

US$90 is a tad steep for the G1 Re-issue so my guess would be that it is the MP version. He is a great figure, and the Takara packaging is beautiful, and the Cardboard trailer a fun (if useless) added extra.
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

Either way, I'd like to see how this turns out!
I already have 2 G1 Magnus', but still another couldn't hurt that much.

Am I the only one thinking that $90 for a MP figure is a bit much to not come with anything else? Commemorative Prime and DVD Prime were only in the neighborhood of $50 why would a repaint be so much more?

No I think I paied about 80 for the 20th Prime when I pre ordered it from kb toys. SO really 90 is about right if it has die cast parts and what not! Man I gotta stop looking at it...I almost had it in my cart this time...
I do find it really odd we have heard nothing about this till today...these things dont usually make it to stores, online or otherwise, without us knowing they are coming. I really dont think its the re-issue due to the fact that I have never seen these anywhere but TRU.

Could someone that owns a 20th anniversary or Mp01 or Mp02 weigh one of those packages with the figure inside so we can get a weight comparison? How much does the Gi Ultra Magnus weigh? 6 pounds sounds like a lot for the figure itself, what if there is a UM trailer in there too?

20th is maybe 2.5lbs so really will a trailer add another 3.5lbs?
Edit:: thinking about it...I guess it really could...hmm

$5.00 says this is just a severely screwed up listing.

I'd be willing to bet the same thing, but this is killing me. I don't own an Mp white prime, and would like to have one if that's what it is. I have the order filled out, but haven't completed it yet. What to do? There's really no telling what it is. It really sucks that we can't rely on these Huge Mega Companies to get things right.

Can't be MP, he shouldn;t be 1 opound heavier than MP Prime, that's with the base. I guess Price says otherwise. But with MP Screamer for 52, it looks fishy
EDIT:Oh, there's a listing for the Soundbase 20th Prime. he's 5.07lbs.

Hmm... If they do release the trailer in this package it would mean that it would also fit onto MP Prime... Strange that they would include it... How much would an extra DVD of say Ultra Magnus episodes add to UM's weight?
