We have official pics of the second set from the Dramatic Capture Series, which has Mainframe, Jazz and Optimus Prime in his cartoon accurate white crotch deco. This is not an exclusive set, meaning that it can be purchased from any Japanese retailer. It can also be imported to Hasbro Pulse, though it is not on their site yet.

This could go on sale and I’d still skip it, but that Optimus Prime looks incredibly good. All blue lower legs, white upper legs & waist, and it’s weird that an G1 OP would ever have anything other than blue hands…

I already repainted my OP (I switched the white to silver though) & reprolabeled my Jazz to look as good (or even better) than this set's counterparts. So I'm just gonna repaint my Mainframe from the Ark to this version's colors, TYVM.

It's too bad that the alt mode is the wrong size for ANY class... too big for Legends/Core class, too small for Deluxe/Voyager/Leader/Commander. The only figures that sort of work are post-Siege Minibots like Bee/Brawn.

Y'know, somehow I just KNEW they'd end up rereleasing Mainframe in colours more accurate to his OG toy. Honestly that alone sells this for me, but it'd have to be sold at a bargain heh.

I had this exact thought. Very odd.

"OK, Reflector, let's see what you can see." It was a scene that only lasted a few seconds in the first ever episode of the G1 Transformers cartoon, "More Than Meets The Eye, Part 1", but for many of us the image of a giant jet robot peering through a rather normal looking camera will forever be burned into our memories. And it's that image that Takara Tomy is looking to bring to our shelves with their latest and perhaps most ambitious Dramatic Capture set yet. And by ambitious I mean we're getting four figures this time instead of three, even if three of these figures are the same figure. There won't be any mold changes as we should be used to by now, so expect all the same heavy greeble of the original figure. At the very least we can hope for the parts from the "Refraktor Reconnaissance Team 3-Pack" and a small Reflector accessory for Thundercracker to hold. And that's not to downplay the significance of getting a new shot at Earthrise Thundercracker (though with a new deco) who we haven't seen since he was packed with Skywarp in hard to find Target exclusive way back in 2020!

More news when we get it. In the meantime let us know if you're looking forward to a new chance at a complete Reflector in G1 cartoon colors in the Energon Pub Forums!

This one may interest me for Reflector Refractor alone. I have the "G1 toy" set, but I never could get the regular Siege version. If the deco of this set is nice enough, it may be worth getting.

The Siege versions are so over priced now, and one needs to get 3 of them. This may be a better alternative if it's under $90 bucks.
Thundercracker I really don't need, already own Earthrise, but I guess you can never have too many seekers.

I have Thundercracker and Reflector ... but not the camera bits. So maybe. We'll see. He's an army builder, but I do have a few 3P ones, still and no room to display them.

Kinda surprised they didn't include the Titans Returns Reflector or even a non transforming one, painted up. Whatever, I guess.

Really looking forward to getting this Reflector. I passed on the Siege version.
I'm hoping they get Thundercracker's blue done right. If you look closely or compare it side by side with something that's truly blue, you'll see the ER version is blue-green-ish, which I never understood. But if this new color is on point, and he has a gray and not metallic silver face, I'll probably keep him. The next question is, is this a repainted SS86 Starscream mold with articulated hands?

edit: Also, instead of Kremzeek, why not include a mini Reflector alt mode camera??

1. Looking at the picture it looks like the regular fist mold, not Starscream's opening "who disturbs my coronation" splayed hands.
2. Asked the same question elsewhere and its likely that mold is tied to the coronation gear and cannot be run without them.
3. Kremzeek is apparently part of that reflector mold, it was also included with the Selects toy colors 3-pack so....
4. The mini-camera is likewise probably tied to all the Centurion accessory molds.

How do you get that from 3 deluxes and a voyager at current prices? The Bee/Jazz/Wheeljack set is at $100 on its own at BBTS and is less 1 deluxe than this. Just a bit over $100, like $110-$120 would be around I would expect.
