Armada green/gray/purple

Hm. The Energon deco has that cool clear parts thing going for it. It's tied with the Takara ML version because that one's deco is more show accurate for Armada than the Hasbro one (although not perfect).

I actually repainted my Hasbro TW into show-accurate colors, although it's not the neatest job and I've got to go back and re-do it one of these days.

Because his robot mode looks like a jacketed naval officer (with the gun turrets being the jacket buttons), I would love to see Tidal Wave redecoed in blue and white, with his gun turrets and the three circles on his head crest painted gold.

I'm sure at least some of you know this, but for those who don't, Tidal Wave can use Combiner Wars limbs for arms. I think that's neat. When I get a Micron Legends Shockwave, could I put him with my other Shockwaves? He's really Shockwave in name and deco only, he has none of the other physical or character attributes of what we typically consider a Shockwave character.

EDIT: Nope. No luck. I don't know what it is about Tidal Wave that lets CW-style limbs work, but it's not present on Cybertron Optimus and Megatron. Similarly, you're not plugging any use of the Leobreaker mold into a CW/PotP torso.
Maybe someone will make an adapter.

When I get a Micron Legends Shockwave, could I put him with my other Shockwaves? He's really Shockwave in name and deco only, he has none of the other physical or character attributes of what we typically consider a Shockwave character.

He would look rather off, although to be honest the name kinda fits a big stompy powerhouse like him better than it fit the G1 character (who really only has the name because it sounds cool) and the Shockwaves modeled off him.
Of course, if one of your other Shockwaves is the trademark-benchwarmer Terradive redeco, they'd go great together

I no longer have my Tidal Wave so I actually can't test it out, I posted that from memory. It might have been a custom job, but I don't think so because TW's sockets can expand and the combiner port can fit. But I clearly remember using Off-road as an arm for Tidal Wave, and I even thought about buying a 2nd one because the gray went so well with TW's chest. It's not Off-road, but here you go

I think it's actually a matter of Tidal Wave's ports being able to tighten more than Optimus and Megatron's; when I tried Dead End's connector in those ports there was an excess of room and it just flopped right out.

This comment right here is a sort of hint related to the big Micron haul coming (bulk comment, not the hold them up part). The Microns in this case are far more important than their bulks

I think I've got pretty much all original release figures from A/E/C. I got a couple of the repaints but for the most part, it just became too expensive to get the same mold, and for the most part, the same character, just with a colour change.

You know what I would have loved? If we got official releases of all the Mini-Cons from the PS2 Armada game. I know there would have been only a certain number of molds and a bunch of repaints, but it would have been neat.

Yep. Not sure why I got Nemesis Breaker (it's a **** mold really) but Dark Crumplezone was an easy get because it was a good fun mold to begin with, plus there was substantial changes to make it different.
