Them old Grantray Lawrence Marvel cartoons of the 1960s.....

Motto: "Power to the strong and the right!"
Weapon: Plasma Cannon
"Motion Comic Book" which a certain "someone" keeps on referencing.....well, this company was quite ahead of their time and used the principle nearly 50 years ago.

The shows(aside from Spiderman which had original stories in the 2nd and 3rd seasons) were just glorified "Motion Comic Books' with campy voice acting ( Spidey's on the other hand were spot on) and Ray Coniff style OP jingles. Of course, the now iconic "Spiderman" jingle was composed for the shows of the company. Lost in the mix, Ironman, Hulk,Submariner and Captain America had their own respective jingles.......all as catching that gets stuck to your brain after hearing them. Though not as famous as Spiderman's.

For us simple minded kids at the time, it was almost godsend to watch our fave heroes come to life with voice actors. Simple storytelling and very politically incorrect (just watch the Ironman episodes with the Mandarin)

Really missed those canned shows..........and a certain someone would love the Incredible Hulk segments.

Here are the animation eamples of the show:

I've seen a few of these, and I really should see some more of them...someday. You are infinitely correct about the opening titles, they are very catchy tunes and WILL get stuck in your head. A tad cheesy, maybe, but oh so much more fun than a lot of shows today, which barely have an opening.

Coupled with the Fantastic Four(I think they were on at the same time, though wasn't that Hanna Barbara?), I'd say every major Marvel property was present on TV, and that's amazing. I've read even the X-men appeared in a Sub-Mariner episode in place of the Fantastic Four, though not stated by name.

While I'm sure I could probably find them on youtube, I'd be all over an official Region 1 DVD release of these shows(60's Spidey has a release), though given that Disney still hasn't released 90's Spider-Man I don't these are a priority.

I still remember a line by Spidey that was very funny.

Iirc, it was in a zoo were the animals went beserk or escaped. Behind Spidey was a roaring gorilla. He quiped that "either his stomach is growling or there's a gorilla behind him to that effect".......Spidey's one liners even back then were hard to beat.
