WAAAT! No Armada Nightbeat? THIS LIST SUCKS!
For real, great list. Brimstone is a favorite of mine. I really like the Beast Hunters Arcee, but I would have LOVED to get my hands on the Flamewar repaint. The only other one I would have put on there is 2007 movie Arcee, but only because she's got some legs on her and I like that.

I made sure to mention him in this list though.
Thanks for all your comments and feedback guys, I love these discussions and learning what everyone likes and feels is the best. And it helps give any new fan new to the hobby more options about what to get beyond this list.
Something I always find pretty cool is the mention of movie toys. When movie lines come out, you would think those figures were the bane of the fan world. But it turns out fans are all unique, there is no big angry mob, its just a few loud people and most of us simply have different tastes. So its nice to see a lot of love for movie toys in the comments since it compliments their lack of mention on the list itself, like that anyone reading the list and comments will have the most thorough understanding of the good motorcycle transformers out there.
And Shajaki, I take it you arent a fan of the animated aesthetic right?
Also, those liking the Prowl sidecar and Energon Arcee, those toys will be getting mentionned in other lists this year, so stay tuned

Not necessarily. It was just a time when I wasn't collecting, so I currently have experienced very little from the line.william-james88 wrote:And Shajaki, I take it you arent a fan of the animated aesthetic right?

The good news is that many fans are still torn on it (as with the movie aesthetic) and there is a lot of product out there so the demand isnt that high and anyone who wants to get into them doesnt have to spend that big a fortune. And even the Takara versions are cheap

WOW! never thought a TFA figure would be # 1. didn't know Prowl could do a "lotus" position.

That figure is probably one of the most posable out there. And with virtually no kibble or cheating parts.

I used to have a soft spot for those too, and for a while they were the only mold available easily in Italy. I've since not really cared about it that much, once I dabbled with Prowl, I'll admit. The hanging panels started being more noticeable than I wanted, and the wheel transformation just felt cheaper than what Prowl can do.
Still, I do agree that the Scout class was a treasure trove of bikey goodness.

With some working out better than others...

And yeah, I am surprised to see some people surprised by this number 1, it was probably the easiest number 1 to decide for a list (aside from Best Grimlock toy) simply because Prowl is just such a standout figure in every way.

I'd like to nominate G2 Road Rocket as a runner-up. Crazy articulated for the time, great vehicle mode and an awesome robot mode. Don't own him myself, but if I had the space/money for a "vintage" display he'd be in there.

Her robot mode is also exceptional as well, even to the point where she even still has her energon crossbow integrated right into the mode.
also agreed. She's really underrated overall.
Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

animated Prowl leads this thing by long shots. That is a great figure and is one of only (just tonight 3) animated figures that I have. I have the samurai version with the sidecar and I love it. and it is so tall! And posable! easily #1.

Maybe he meant Road Pig instead. Because that is a super fun toy. The leg's broken off of mine and it still has a place on my shelf. And yeah, it hasn't necessarily aged that well either from an aesthetic point of view either, but at least it isn't bright orange.

You guys want to know something cool about Roadrocket, the G2 bike that was mentionned? He was reused in the microman line as a piloted motorcycle:

And speaking of microman, they are a takara line that had transforming motorcycles too. But they transformed from casettes to motorcycles, its pretty cool:
