UK Boxset Releases?

So we've just had Beast Machines and R.I.D. is on the way. My question is:

When will we get Beast Wars, Armada and *shudder* Energon and Cybertron boxsets?

;;)
He's got some pretty far-out powers to go along with them, too, including teleportation, the projection of trippy telepathic visions and illusions, and the ability to groove on the language of 98% of all known species. To uses his powers to the fullest, though, he's gotta be feelin' good vibrations; bad karma can seriously harsh his mellow, y'know?

Unfortunately, it isn't clear who has the Beast Wars rights. Universal did have them, but rumours hint towards someone else having them now.

Armada is done by Entertainment Rights, who don't have nay plans for a complete set due to the popularity of the series, for now.

Energon and Cybertron are up to Paramount, who have done very little. Expect something in the USA first before they are out here.

BTW, RID was originally released in 2004 and 2005. These are just re-releases.

Ok so the Aussie Madman Beast Wars set it is. Is there an Overseas box set for the others? Or is it...

Dare I say?

Torrent tide?

Armada had season releases in the US, but I cannot remember who by. In Australia we got 16(?) single disc volumes that covered all of Armada. They were distributed by Magna Pacific.

Otherwise we are in a similar boat down here, we never received a RID release, and have had only 2 volumes of Energon and 1 of Cybertron released. Paramount truly dropped the ball with those series, they really could have ridden the wave of popularity the movie brought.

If you don't mind buying sets from around the world, you would come quite close to completing the entire Transformers series

G1 - Metrodome (UK), Rhino (USA) & Madman (AUS)
Movie - Anywhere
Scramble City - Anywhere
Headmasters - Metrodome (UK) & Madman (AUS - in November)
Masterforce - Metrodome (UK)
Victory - Metrodome (UK)
Zone - Metrodome (UK)
Beast Wars - Rhino (USA) & Madman (AUS)
Beast Machines - Rhino (USA) & Sony Home Entertainemt (Europe & Australia)
RID - Maximum Entertainment (UK)
Armada - (Rhino)

That just leaves Energon and Cybertron from Paramount and Beast Wars II and Neo, which have never been released on DVD, not even in Japan.

I wonder who will have the rights for Animated? Maybe Warner since Cartoon Network are developing the series.

I have no hope for us getting Armada, Energon & Cybertron box sets because they suck, I would rather we have there Japanese counterparts.

I just hope we get Beast wars II & Neo sometime soon.

That would be my #1 guess.

As long as it aint Paramount it should be fairly good.

Many thanks!

TFcog aren't doing too bad with their fandubs of BW II and Neo, it isn't DVD quality but it's better than nothing.

I have to agree, the Unicron trollogy, sorry, trilogy would be more appealing in Japanese, but again I guess that's a case of downloading of the net or purchasing individual volumes from Japan.

Thanks to all again, although this was essentially a very anglo-centric post the aim was really to pool ideas and resources so that anyone anywhere (pending a multi-region player) could have all animated material thus far.

Hopefully in the gap between now and the second Live Action movie they will be some kind of effort towards getting some kind of cohesive groups of box-set releases.

Let's face it, Fan's deserve and would buy them, and we also get such lovely bonus material such as Mr. Mcfeely and artworks.

Something you can't get or really appreciate from p2p or torrent.
