I've collected Transformers since 1984. Scale of the robot mode has always been an issue and I am thrilled with how they're going with more standardized sizing scheme. I love the way we're getting G1 characters who look so good and have such awesome transformations. I couldn't be happier about the direction Hasbro is taking these days.

Myself I'm glad we're seeing "definitive" CHUG scale versions of the core G1 cast now (though I hope we get decent "Earth mode" figures of guys like the Seekers later, I want a good Voyager scale F-15 Seeker mold Hasbro!). It's been a long time coming and a lot of the older figures have not aged well.
THAT BEING SAID
I would like it if we got fresh, original designs and characters in other lines with decent budgets as well (aside of course from Studio Series, which I do like a lot). I'm slightly annoyed that Cyberverse is going full hog with cheapness/not being very good, and I do miss the glory days of stuff like Animated, where the "kiddy/cartoon line" got proper treatment and some absolutely incredible toys of some really neat and innovative designs. The fact Cyberverse not only has really basic and honestly crappy toys (at least Armada's bricks LOOKED nice) but also is basically just G1 with a slightly different filter bothers me somewhat.
Don't get me wrong, the fact we've got for example possibly the best CHUG Shockwave ever made in Siege is awesome, but it'd be nice if there were good options for original/different designs and characters as well. I'd like it if after they've done the "old favourites" that rather than just doing the same characters again if they did some either totally new stuff, homages to more obscure eras/characters or some more radical redesigns for characters (a bit like DC's Designer Series but with Transformers).

Frankly, it's the weathering effects.
I expect that there are fine toys underneath all that poorly applied grime. The fact that these pillars of the cast have great new forms that won't look right next to the cast they are supposed to lead is a real distraction.

You know, that was probably hasbro's idea.
Hasbro: what's that? Your new chug additions don't match the others because of battle damage? Well we've got a solution to that!
Customers: premium versions of the figures minus battle damage, as exclusives next Christmas?
Hasbro:...
Customers: its not that is it.
Hasbro: of course not! Our solution is even better! You go and buy the whole cast again, but this time, all with battle damage!
Customers:... Sometimes, I really hate you...
Hasbro: we get that a lot, you're still buying the figures though aren't you?
Customers:... Yes.
Hasbro: perfect

Reminds me of a kid who wanted the 2007 Movie Evolution 2 Pack this one

Just for the Battle Damaged Bumblebee, even though the non-damaged version was on the shelf beside it.His mum pointed that out, but he was adamant to have the battle damaged version.
