TF media has been going downhill in quality storytelling in the lat 10 years, at least out of what I've seen.

Here's my list:

7. Rise of the Beasts
6. The Prime Wars Trilogy
5. Cyberverse
4. The Last Knight
3. WFC Trilogy
2. Bumblebee
1. Age of Extinction

If comics were included, those 7 would follow my top 3, Unicron (3rd), RiD/Optimus Prime (2nd), and MTMTE/Lost Light (1st).

Bumblebee was best overall for me. They got the balance right. I liked Shatter, who was 'female-type' but still Decepticon to the core, mostly competent and happy in her psychopathy.

The other movies had great SFX but average storytelling. Seemed like random assembly of popular material. Shame that the final movie with Unicron was shelved (the one after TLK). That could've been a doozy.

Most of the cartoons had good points and bad points, e.g. good action but annoying character traits. I hate the way that they cherry-pick, e.g. include Grimlock but leave out the other Dinobots.

Earthspark was too cootsie-wootsie in places and had transsexuality and pronoun obsession.

I don't seriously watch the stuff for younger kids but the episodes I saw seemed fine.
